Not bad stats for the Villa boys, with half our midfield ripped out, we put up a decent battle today, just luck and lack of bodies. If only Hendrie hadn't missed an open goal and Baros had done his job, we'd have been laughing!

Looking at the stats i cant belive we didnt win and win comfortably looks like Givens saved the Toon again.

Just the lack of a midfield to contend with the big players they have really + missed chances.

The fact our midfield was weaken so much, by a suspension and a loan player being unavailable, shows how paper thin our squad is. Reference "The Fears" point about Hendrie and Baros that's been our woe for a few seasons now. TOO MANY MISSED OPORTUNTIES.

It would help the players who are obviously struggling at Villa Park if we filled the ground and actually create some atmosphere and get behind them 37,140 is pathetic.

We lost for the simple reason that we couldnt convert simple opportunities. Three home wins all season is a diabolical stat, but until we can start putting the chances away, we'll continue to struggle. We can blame the weakened midfield all we want, and agreed it didnt help the cause, but we still created enough openings to have won convincingly.

Samuel was at fault for the first goal and i do agree about not taking our chances but for me Given was MOTM.
