Bruce is utter crap. But all our chips are down, as changing managers is suicide in terms of promotion, way to risky. Let's pray it works out.

It's a risk Ali, but it's also a risk to keep Bruce

Winning ugly...but winning. i'll take that all season long thanks. Things starting to click nicely, team looking more confident and players stepping up. I still wish that whatever happens in the dressing room at half time stopped. have no idea what it is but it seems to unsettle the team and we come out for the 2nd half and take 15 minutes to get going again.

Yes a good result and it's 3 pts, but not a good performance yet again. We should dominate games like that at home and against weak opposition but we are not. It is not possible to dominate a game without control of midfield and that, in my opinion, has been our problem for a long time. Adomah is great, never stops running and Hourihane is good playing just behind the strikers. Unfortunately Whelan is far too slow and Snodgrass just cannot defend. We will not get promoted if we have to rely on individual talents, and notably Kodjia/Davis.

To stand a chance of dominating a game, we have to start on parity. Unfortunately, with 36% possession - at home - that is NOT even bloody parity. Three points is three points, but how much longer will it be before everything comes crashing down? My question is, when are we going to have someone in charge who can get something approaching the best out of the players who undoubtedly have the quality, but are consistently failing to show it!

Another welcome 3 points. Not the greatest performance but it's all about the result. Don't be fooled by the possession stats. Forest had most of the ball in their own half passed between their defenders. Also the goal they got was lucky the type of opportunity we never get, granted he took it well though. My observations from being at the game. In general the back 4 look solid. Whelan is a liability. Snodgrass can't defend or take people on when attacking. Albert has to start every game when fit. I love the attacking intent of 4-4-2 but it leaves us so exposed in midfield. Kodjia coming back is a massive plus. Just need Jedi back too. A much better option than Whelan. Then we will see Hourihane where he is best further up the field. Enjoy the win fellow Villans. Burton and Bolton next. 6 points needed. I must add please don't read into this that I'm a Bruce fan far from it. If we change now it will get worse. Footballs not great but we are winning. Two on the trot. Hopefully the confidence grow in the players and the fans too. The Holte End at times was like a morgue today. We need them to ignite us and when the do the Holte will come alive and light up!!!!

Why do people always get so upset when the opposition have more possession than us. The vast majority of these teams just pass it around their own half and rarely threaten. I agree with DSK, although 442 gives us a more attacking look, it does make us look a bit lightweight in the middle of the pitch. Teams with an extra man in there always pass it around us easily. 6 games unbeaten and only 2 points off the play offs now, I'll take all the ugly wins we can get.

It's a simple concept of mathematics. You always give something up if you play with two up front. Either one less in CM or one less at the back. Of course teams will often have more possession if they have an extra player in the middle. It's what they do with it.... And I see a scoreboard that says we scored more than them...

I think, DSK & gary, that we are all saying more or less the same thing. In my opinion though it is not the 442 itself that makes us lightweight in the middle, it is the players that SB selects. Jedinak in front of the defense and Hourihane ( or maybe Grealish ) just behind the strikers is fine but we need one strong midfielder rather than Snodgrass - especially if Adomah is included ( and he should be ! ). Maybe Onomah and/or O'Hare could be the answer but, sorry, not Snodgrass.
