Sky's stats from the game are slightly more favourable to us I believe.

At last a win.....full stop!

Both generations of Villa fans in my house (including myself) were very relieved at 9.50pm when the final score came in!

Great great result but how much longer can PL put up with Gabby, his goal scoring record is now non-existent and for a forward player that is not good, yes he's claret and blue through and through but that doesn't win matches... he needs to score and more often.

That was horrible . Dear God , I enjoyed Man U and Arsenal more than this . At least in those games we put in a performance . We nicked it . I'm glad for the points , but we need more consistency through old heads in Jan .We know why Bent's off the bench but why is Ireland not starting ?

All about Westwood again for me, played great and owned the midfield again. Very, very composed in his short time there. Honorable mention to Guzan's feet which extended their run of very nice saves.

Cheers for the stats source much appreciated ;)... Dont worry ED a LM/LWF is coming in January it is very much needed... The comments about it being easy to raise your game against the big teams rang true again... Its hard to play well with such a young team when you need to win the game... Once again too much pressure playing infront of our own...

Doom and gloom? All things considered, Vlaar out, Stephens off early, we did well. We had the clearer chances and the thing I liked was that the players seemed hungry and *****ed at missed opportunities, unlike last season under Voldermort where they just seemed *****ed off. Bring on QPR and Old Melty Face.

Well done amigos, big win,Clark is going to be a big player for years to come,Ireland should be starting, albrighton is shocking no composer at all

As they say a wins a win and it didn't matter how we did it tonight we just HAD to win it and I'm very glad we did. Although the lads never gave up we played very poorly. Bannan had an absolute shocker and even his usual half decent set pieces were poor, it was no coincidence we scored from the first one he didn't take. Ireland should start over Barry ever single time, he's a class above. Westwood, Lowton and Benteke are great signings and have top futures with us. Sad to see Bent not even on the bench, one could only wonder what he would have done had he been in the position that Benteke and Weimann found themselves in the first half.

Thanks be to Yoda. Bring on QPR..

Relatively even game between two very very poor teams.

Delighted with the three points Clark was my m.o.m considering Roberts looked their best player by a mile,he did well to keep him under wraps. Bannan and Ireland will never do it for me with Westwood improving but stilll learning still think we need that strong midfield addition in january.
