Well done,big win
kenner
We done em good n proper, brilliant stuff, Benteke Westwood Gabby Vlaar Clark even Ireland played well and proved we can compete really really chiffed and relieved to bits here UTV!!!!
CLIVETHEVILLAN
Yep, huge win considering what we have coming up.....I would say we can only compete against the teams around our level. Lets see what happens in the next two or three PL matches.
Pride of Lions
Huge win. Gabby finally gets his goal, Benteke holds the ball up well, the midfield looks solid, the defense looks in impenetrable, and Guzan is a brick wall. Thank God Lambert didn't bring on Delph to screw everything up!
soccer15
Westwood was impressive everytime I flicked it on...
CDX_EIRE
1 shot on target good one sunderland...
CDX_EIRE
Any reason given why Bent didn't make the 18?
OnMeHeadFred
We must of been watching different games. Not being to harsh great result. Sunderland are sooo poor. Ireland gave the ball away countless of times, Bannan needs to look for the killer pass, not cross cross cross. Defence looked great, great to see everyone defending for there lives. Ireland well come good and his showing glimpses again. I don't know what's wrong with Bennett? Injured, returned:RedCard, missed a game. Came back Injured again... On that note bring on United! PL don't like Bent's attitude, don't be surprised if his out till January.
Blitz
he injured his foot in training Fred
Charizma
Hay cdx Eire you were saying we were going to win all week fair play
kenner
Cheers Kenner its nice to be appreciated ;) I dont think Il be able to predict anymore results until December tho ha...
CDX_EIRE
Good Lord we seem to have won a game
antonvilla
Took my son for his first Villa game today and glad we got the win,Westwood looked good,Ireland started plaing in the second half and Benteke was very solid up front. We still need that marquee signing who can turn a game but other than that we were a lot better today. Sunderland on the other hand are awful,Adam Johnson is so over-rated it's unreal. Sunderland stewards were out of order today as well, they kicked one fan out because he dared to argue about standing. They cause more trouble by letting it go to their heads.
briann11
Great to see the boys get an away win, the Guinness tastes sweeter tonight. I can see 4 points out of the next three, onwards and upwards. UTV.

Excellent! Well done lads! Great result, especially putting one over MON. Looks like the Magpies are experiencing the real MON - boring football, lack of goals, weird tactics and lack of subs.
PiperUK
PiperUK: thought Newcastle were the Magpies - or Notts County as well. Whatever the name, I hope this means we can now all forget about the ejit in future.
Gordonsleftboot
Thought Benteke held the ball up so well today, Hence the gabby Goal. I can now see why everyone are asking for the Bent-Benteke partnership.
Lernerselves
LOL You mean the Mackems Piper ;)
CLIVETHEVILLAN
We now know that we don't need Bent atall. He didn't play when we beat man city either. Only 10 mins and 3 pointless touches against Swindon aswell. Don't want to turn this into an anti bent rant though. Great result. Come on Gabby, more confidence for him and a valuable squad member!!!!!
Villan444
Benteke has been great starting to really bed in showing why he is keeping Lukaku out of the Belgian side and equally why Mr. Bent remains on the lines... But Im still not prepared to disregard Mr. Bent ;)
CDX_EIRE
Can't believe some people still have a whinge! A win away to anyone is good, but a win and clean sheet away to a MON side is a fantastic result and just what we needed to launch us into the coming games. Right lineup and formation today, Ireland needs to start every game and Westwood should keep his spot. Get through the next month, see where we are at and hopefully strengthen well in Jan. Pumped, UTV
AdzVilla11
Oops oh yeah. Mackems. Oh well, whatever they are they are still a bunch of ****s. Stadium of Light indeed. Stupid name for a stadium.
PiperUK
Don't want to dampen the enthusiasm, but we are still a young side. Remember, we need consistency and that only comes with experience. Remember what happened after the Swansea and Baggies games at Southampton and Spurs respectively. Still, we must savour this excellent win and get behind the boys for a really big one next week. we're here for the long haul folks, not a sprint. Incidentally, let's get over this MON issue. Like it or not, he was the last manager who gave us a little success - three sixth places. Agreed, we have an inventive new manager, but we had some good times under Mr O'Neill. Now for United!!
AVFCinOz
Bennett's previous wound on his leg opened up again.
Nat999
It doesn't suddenly turn Villa into a good team but no one can say it wasn't well earned or desperately needed.
OnMeHeadFred
LOL Piper, agree shud be Stadium of Dullness, its just nice to see Blinderland improving so much under MoN lol how longs he been there now a year and half ish pfff they aint no different than under potato head imo, we are in progress and already showing signs of improvement under Lambert ;)
CLIVETHEVILLAN
Still a bit concerned that Bennett was picked again.
Oscararc
Black cats not magpies!
AVFC4ME
Magic win delighted with the way we played looked solid throughout ,wont go overboard, still think we need a couple in midfield, but nice to see us compete and look a constant danger up front.
