More details to be added as they are found.

Karim El Ahmadi certainly won man of the match for the first half, and Bannan takes it for the second, but all the new lads looked good and Brett Holman took his goal perfectly.

Plenty to be worked on, and some of that will come with more sharpness but it was a delight seeing us knocking the ball around and actually trying to break Burton down. Great start in many respects, and now to build on it and cut out the individual errors.

I was only going by the Mat Kendrick tweets on the Mail site but it seems a very encouraging work out for a first frendly. Pleasant change to see us knocking the ball round and probing. PL seems to be knocking them into shape already. I know it was only Burton (with respect to Burton) but we have to be pleased..... I am.
Pride of Lions
Agreed Pride. I only watched it on AVTV but there was some good play out there. Encouraging.

Burton must have touched the ball 6 times in the second half, the possession football was a very welcome change to the McLeish era
