Bad luck lads. If it had been a two legged final we'd be in the driving seat. I can see penalties will be high on the "must practice" list when they come back off their summer holidays

Twice in last three years lost final on penalties to United. Both games at Old Trafford?

Villa quite well on top first half, but United more dangerous second half, down flanks particularly. Both had chances to win it but we lacked a cutting edge and defensively did well to block United's efforts. Would have been hard on either side to lose in 90 minutes but the game was quite decent and deserved a couple of goals.
