Not ashamed to say credit to West Brom for their comeback at Bolton.

The stats say it all, what an abysmal home performance. Only two shots on target in the whole game.

Goal attempts: lost 4 -21. Shots on target: lost 2 - 10. Corners: lost 4-19. Possession: lost 47 - 53. Players on pitch: won 11 - 10. Someone explain that to obvious pattern or plan today. But home in time to hear McLeish appear to say on WM that he will be manager next year.

Well McMuppet did his best to take us down but thankfully Bolton stopped him succeeding. Please dont let this man ever maanger a football club ever again! One last minute home win against the might of Fulham since November. Facts do not lie, worst season i can ever remember, get rid asap

Easy to explain that one JimmyG - spurs got shown a red card and so, obviously, they were allowed to play with 2 more players than us........and if he's manager next season then i WON'T be attending at all!

From the point where Spurs went down to 10 men they totally dominated the game. No-one, one the pitch or in the dug out, with the wit to see that we needed to leave at least one player on or about the half way line so that when we did clear the ball it just came right back. Not only that but it left all Spurs players free to go forward, putting more pressure on us. My last game at VP until McLeish goes. We will only get worse next season if he stays.

LOL, we went in leading at half time, I knew that we'd come out like rabbits in headlights after a teamtalk from the master of depression. We've equalled our record of 17 draws in a season. Can we beat it with 1 game to go?? The excitement is too much. F**K OFF McLEISH and take your boring, defeatist, negative attitude away

Awful, just awful...was it us who had the 1 man advantage or them? Glad we are safe now, lets just pray that he is gone this summer. Everyone will go mad probably but hope Norwich win next week? More pressure on Mcleish? No? Thought not haha.

Well done lads, well done Big Eck. Against all odds across the season- awful injuries and illnesses, crazy own goals and penalties and poor finishing by our strikers - we have succeeded in our goal to stay in the prem. Good job done by Alex IMO. I've renewed my season ticket because I am a true fan (unlike the sheep) and I hope you are our manager next year as I believe in you and I believe in your proven ability to wheel and deal in the market. Thumbs up all round.

haha Piper, you must actually be Alex McLeish. I hate McLeish but I blame the board. They wanted someone with prem experience but his is mainly falling out of it. They paid a huge sum to get him which they could have spent on someone far more interesting. They explained his relegation of the bluenoses on poor financial supportand said he would be backed here. That never happened, in fact it turned out we were on a mission to drastically reduce the wage bill, so lets not forget that was an out and out lie. The whole thing is abhorent and something rather significant needs to be done.

That must be tongue in cheek Piper? Injuries, own goals, penalties and poor finishing could be claimed by virtually all the premiership clubs as an excuse for not achieving their goals. They have also been factors for many Villa teams in the past - but it's this bunch of players and their manager that have been spineless and set new records of the kind they won't share with their grandchildren.

Great first half fight. Loads of energy and spirit from our bruised and battered squad. The 'McLeish out day' was a bit of a damp squib with everyone focus on giving the team great support. Crkacking atmosphere and lots of positive energy from the fans.

No it's not Jimmy, I meant every word. There are plenty of Villa fans who back Eck it's just that we don't resort to gay Facebook or gay twitter to voice our opinions. We just go down the match and quietly appreciate what Eck has done.

Sorry to upset you Piper but Eck is gone, only matter of days now and we can start to look towards our "bright future". As for the game the lads were as usual very disjointed and lacking any clear direction, in saying that I think they lads gave their all, defended very very well especially Cuellar (hope he's our starting CB next season) So well done to the boys, now let's get this ginger cloud and blow it right out of Villa Park. May as well sack him now as we are safe.... Over to you Randy!

"quietly appreciate what Eck has done" - avoided relegating us by the skin of his teeth, got us playing the worst football I've ever seen us play and guaranteed that nobody in their right mind will want to jump ship and play for us ? Yes. Those are good things. If I believed that my appreciation would be silent, never mind quiet, because if I genuinely believed Eck had done a good job at Villa I'd be scared to tell anyone incase the men with white coats turned up. After a season of drivel, how anyone can say this man is good for Aston Villa FC is just beyond me. Scary stuff.

To be fair to Piper 'Gay Twitter & Gay Facebook' are two of the best sites on the net; like the other sites, just happier. I just checked the league table on 'Gay BBC' and we are placed third, pushing for Champions League.....must be that fantastic Manager he's raving about.
