15 shots on target. 70% possession (BBC). Yup, you guessed it, yet another Aston Villa draw. #whatajoke
olofthegreat
We have a backbone. Unlucky lads - Warnock you newb
KSarge1
Olof, they are the Beeb stats, I think the 70% is second half only.
mike_field
The 2nd half is how we could be playing every week if we had a proper manager. Over 3 months without a home win now, is that a record?
SchoolBoyError
I think we now match the record from 2009 mate.
mike_field
Unlucky Villa, they worked so hard. 70% possession, some great passing. Lets kick on and avoid silly mistakes...(Warnock)
VILLA 4 LIFE
Well Man City is the next home game, so there's still a chance for AM to break that Mike, haha
SchoolBoyError
I think they need telling that a football match is 90 minutes long not blummin 45............ if only we'd play like that 1st half , 2nd half at the library 'sigh' 10 points above safety the only thing keeping us up this season is the crap below us
GvillaG
Played really well second half. Let down by some stupid defensive mistakes in the first half. Not sure how Warnock keeps getting in the team, he seems to make massive mistakes every time he plays.
Callum_ws
just saw highlights.....we were denied two clear penalties....one right at the end handled twice........if the ref gives either of the decisions....we win and will hail a terrific comeback.....was'nt to be......gotta win home games.....

Warnock cost us the 3 points. Complete liability at the moment, it's so frustrating as he has been very solid at times (ie Chelsea). 2 new fullbacks in the summer please! Second half was excellent, if only we could play for 90 instead of 45. Maybe the lads should pretend they are already behind against Newcastle as they seem intent on giving every team a bloody headstart!
Lion Heart
No question that we should of won tonight. QPR could only sit back and watch us play second half, they were awful, we should of got 3 points easily tonight but still a good comeback with nice football played second half. Next 2 games are going to be tough, don't want to fall behind.
P.Avfc
a 1 half team at the moment !! second half was how it should be !!
marshyboy87
Stats wise St Martin's team 10 shots versus Norwich 10 shots - yet he gets a 3 0 win, whereas our 23 v 3 gets a draw. Everything is falling into place so far .... grrrrr. The good thing is we were unlucky and deserved a win. The bad, is 2 goals from QPR against our ever error prone defence cries out as the reason for much of our troubles. All the fans see it. We cannot do worse than bring in changes of at least 3 of them and trust in Lichaj, Baker, Clark, with Cuellar to do better. Plus Herd when fit.

Just woke up and saw the result. Well, well, well another home match without a win! I was right with a draw, but I had it down for a sneaky 1-1.
Pride of Lions
1st half stat: QPR 1 shot on target, 2 goals!! I have completely lost all patience with Warnock. Dreadful against Bristol Rovers, in fact dreadful every game for weeks, if not months. That OG is completely unforgivable. 2 OGs in front of the Holte in Give Enda Stevens a run out. Surely ha has to better than Warnock!??! for the 2nd game in a row we score 2 excellent goals but we're left bemoaning poor defending.
Adam Deuce
Can't decide what to think..1st half was so depressing BUT the 2nd half was really uplifting...we proved that we CAN play fast, attacking, passing and exciting football..no luck..but please can we have the 2nd half performance for 90 minutes? Too much to ask?
krfeskivilla
What a game in fairness we had some possitives, N'Zog and Ireland are linking well with Keane but of coarse keane will be leaving, thought Clark played very well in the middle he did have a couple of bad touchs but he was always available to recieve the ball and defended well, as for the defence and warnock its been the same all season and I think anyone moaning about GH dropping Warnock last year are finally realising why, he is a constant liabilty, he has 1 good game and then is terrible for 4 but of coarse ECK can only drop him for half a game, all I can say is at least we attacked...
KerryVillian
Warnock mistake against Swansea, Given saved him against Everton and an OG last night, surely AM must drop him for an extended spell ... Edna should be given a chance.
Eddy1
Zoggy was great 2nd half as was some of the link up play. We were bloody dreadful for the first half. We need a man manager to gel the team before we get onto the pitch and for the whole game. Yet again Eck shows that he is not up to the job. Wish the season was over already and if we start to drop down the table then I fully expect McLeish OUT banners as this is awful to watch. Good spells are simply not enough against lower ranked teams at home ffs! C$teh next........gulp.
holte ender 1969
We absolutely destroyed QPR in the 2nd half, it was like men vs boys. Well done lads, that is the evidence that we are capable of finishing higher than last season. Any player that has a link to Liverpool seems to do well against us. We are so unlucky - Hughes gets clearance to play him only 2 hours before the match starts - we always seem to play teams at the wrong time.
piperuk
It is hilarious - we actually can't win... If we are behind we lack the killer instinct to win when get back to level terms. And if we are winning we get so passive that we literally invite the other team to score at some point... Right now our team is too afraid to win.... Terrible situation...
Astriel
Can anyone answer the following? Out of the 31 goals we have conceded, how many have been defensive/human errors and how many points have we dropped from winning positions. Would be an interesting article to pass onto the players/club.
son_of_cher
Wish they could play for a full 90 mins, we'd win far more that way! Bizarre really. Should have won that and the first one was a bang on pen
The Fear
I reckon the half time team talk was "just do as you like in the second half I cant be bothered" lol
Merlin128777
Just realised it was Warnock's 1st OG. Forgot Given made a fine save to thwart his first attempt against Everton!!
Adam Deuce
Certainly a game of 2 halves! I think Warnock must be after Dunne's OG record with his shots on target rate at the moment. Have to blame lack of communication for the OG as much as Warnock, he was under no pressure at the time and it only takes one word "TIME". Also, Mr Lerner, any chance of underfoor heating for the Holte, I couldn't feel my feet by half time despite thermal socks #bloodyfreezing
Fenrison
son_of_cher, the commentary I heard on the game last night said we had salvaged the most points from losing positions this season out of the whole league, so can't imagine we've thrown that many away from winning positions!
Tierney
Tierney - that would kinda of prove that statement. If we are the best in the league at getting back to even terms then why are we 12th on the log. Because we drop so many points while we are ahead.
Astriel
At least we didn't lose. That's what Feck will be saying anyway!! Mentality needs to change drastically!!!! Eck OUT!!!
Villan444
Looking at the results quickly, it seems that we need to score 3 goals to win. 2 goals is not enough of a cushion for us due to our weak mentality and we constantly gift goals. *optimism mode on* When/if the defence is sorted in the summer I reckon we could be surprised next season. We've looked better going forward recently and the style of play has changed somewhat, hopefully its not just down to Robbie Keane though. I dont want Eck here but he's going to be given another year at least, who knows the ginger might just even turn it round. *optimism mode ff*
