Amazing how even a narrow victory can raise our spirits after reaching the depths of despair just a few short days ago. What a great game, and club of course, this truly is. Good to beat our good friends and neighbours from Sandwell. Being a supporter from the sixties and seventies this local derby, because of all that has gone before, is always up there close to the BIG Brummagem derby. Remember John Woodward and Alex Cropley folks. Some plus points, some much improved individual offerings, but still much to concern Houllier as he attempts to reshape and rebuild the team. We are far from being 'there' yet, and unless we build on todays performance with three points at The DW Stadium next week, todays much needed victory will go to waste.
