We absolutely battered them in the 2nd half. a crossbar and a post from one shot, another post 3 mins later. It was all Villa but unfortunately couldn't keep it up once we went 2-0 up. As seems to be the consensus - disappointed but proud.

DEAN = *****ing disgrace. why the ***** do we have refs, would be fairer if players reffed them selves...

Gutted about the draw but we were fantastic, if that is our future team then everyone better watch out.

That second goal was just superb, clinical - we totally sliced them open. When we went 2-0 up I thought we had the momentum now, we can do this.. let's face it, it'd been mostly Villa the whole game already ! Gutted for the result, no way a fair reflection of the game, but so proud of what I saw I could burst. Petrov, Heskey, RC, Carew.. sorry fellas, you're surplus to requirements. Houllier, get rid and get some fresh cover for the starting XI we saw yesterday. They were ****in superb !

Gotta say that I've been posting on this site for five years and never felt so down as I did when MON left...I feared that Ash, Delph, Downing would leave...today I feel proud and very optimistic. What a joy to see Gabby back, Albrighton flying in tandem with Ash, and Downing (always rated him to be fair) showing a new lease of life after a proper pre-season. A proper balanced back four made of real men and selected on form and played in the correct positions!! Excellent effort boys! We're one good lanky striker and quality central MF away from being a very good side again. Palacios and Kalinic/Kenwyne Jones anyone?

we are now seeing the real downing now, and if i remember rightly there where alot on this site questioning MON when we bought him, i reckon thats 2 fingers to the doubters from MON
