bit of a non event really. The fans played their parts but both teams looked content with the draw. Was obvious from the start we needed two strikers up front. Draw not really much use for us and we should be winning games like that at home.
The Fear
Very poor today, not much positives except the atmosphere but still wanted a complete sell out!! Dont really no what houllier was doing today, had nothing but good words to say about him but the way he set out today was very negative, first half was a disgusting show, second half a bit better but overall was very poor and it was a good job birmingham was equally poor. We did deserve the win but at the moment it's all going to come back to 'we havn't got a striker'. Ireland's villa start doesn't look too good either, he cant even get ahead of sidwell which is bad news. At least we didn't lose, probably better of the two teams today but a lot of improvements are needed.

For those who thought Martin O'Neill played defensive football today shows what defensive football really looks like. Two full backs - three centre backs - two defensive midfielders. That leaves just three players to create and score all the goals. No wonder it took us until yhe 55th minute to have our first meaningful shot. 0 - 0 may be fine in Liverpool but it certainly isn't good enough here. Many more like that and we'll be challenging Liverpoo for a place in the bottom three. Pathetic.

It did seem negative chocolate teapot but not as bad as o'neil, at least we gave it ago second half, under o'neil we would have been on the backfoot the last 10 minutes instead of going to get the 3 points. You say 2 dm's but petrov and reo play together every game so no difference their...I think without petrov we needed a defensive player in midfield so thats why clark and warnock was rotating in that position. The only negative thing out there was our attacking play in the first, was very poor but second half a bit better just no striker.
