Hard working performance, defence looked good, wingers looked good, midfield worked hard, up front utter garbage, but hey can't have everything

I thought we won the first half by a fair way and lost the second half, you cant miss chances like we did early doors and then expect to beat Chelsea On balance satisfied with a point

James, if you are reading this, told you it wouldn't be that bad! Now cheer up before the next match!

Carew can "suck" off. Lazy god damn mother "sucker". At least there wasn't the inane and mindless chant about Carew scoring 1 or 2. Get Rid in Jan. Great result by the rest of the team though. Considering we were playing with the 3rd choice striker who don't give a damn.
Also nice to see a passing game, very little hoof, and the croud not getting impatient at the lack of forward thrust when passing it about.
Who sponsored the match? - I'm not going to do business with them if they think petrov was man of the match.
Held our own with League champs and could very easilly have won. Well done lads and Gerard. UTV

Fair result, watch Anelka's header tho, should have buried that chance.

was a bit dissapointed yesterday but looking back on it now... Villa played well and defended superbly. I thought Carew's hold up play in the 2nd half in particular was Sublime. Good luck to you guys for the future

"the crowd not getting impatient at the lack of forward thrust when passing it about." RiF... I think this is the most important point anyone has made. It felt like we all believed in the passing football Villa tried to adopt. I even found myself applauding when it was passed back to Brad. That would never have happened under MON. I am more than happy with a point against Chelsea and even more happy that we tried to pass the ball. Surprised at the above possession stat. Carew has clearly lost both interest and The Holte. Time to move on. Sad but true. Best chant of the day "Stand up if you love Cheryl!" UTV Oh and how on earth have Man City got 2 games in hand over us. Arse.

I've just noticed there are only 6 points between Arsenal in 2nd place and Blackburn who lie 15th - Its gonna be tight.

heskey is CLOSE to our best striker! heskey is are ONLY striker ASTRIEL

Was a good game. Can't believe Lineker's MOTD jibe, "Alan, good first 5 mins, good last 5 mins but some real dross in between!?" I swore at the TV!

Agree with you Albarnista regarding Stephen Ireland. Think with more game time, he will be a real asset. Still have got a feeling that the "jury is out" on Delfouneso. Maybe there is something going on in the background that we don't know about. Don't want to sound sinister but he should be starting to kick the door down evey week for a game. I reckong MON and Mr Houllier may be in agreement about his long-term prospects. Anyone here heard anything about his attitude on non matchdays?
