Only we could do that. We are an absolute joke. Pulis only turned up for half a game and won it for them...pathetic.

Wont blame the ref either, He had a good game and hard to see the pennant dive from where he was.

O sometimes wonder if I understand this game at all when I read the comments of others. I thought we were Ok until just before the end. Heskey for gabby made sense - Gabby was tired and not holding the ball up, a job Heskey can do. Their second goal was a complete fraud - events like that make me wonder why we bother with the game when a blind ref and a cheating bluenose can steal the game. Downing had one of his better games and many of the thers worked hard. I agree we should have tightened up 20 minutes before the end but I fail to understand some of the bitterness of some of these comments.

Why the hell did Marc Albrighton spend most of the 2nd half on the left???? He is an out and out RIGHT winger. We have two other players on the pitch who play better wide left in Young and Downing. It just didnt make sense to me. Marc was a real threat 1st half on the right..... why change it??

Albanista all I am saying is the board picks a manager, the manager picks a team, the manager picks players the chairman buys, right or wrong good or bad we are Aston Villa support the team don't constantly moan about them.

We need to take our chances when they come, it could have been 2 or 3 before half time. Badly need some guile up front. Should Ireland have been on, even as a sub?

A lot of fans are asking how the heck did Stoke win that. Look at the stats. Look at the number of times they put the ball in our box. If they were unlucky they could have got 0, on the law of averages they certainly deserved 1, and it was quite possible it could bounce for them and they get 2. So be it. Villa have superior players, but should simply not allow this kind of opposition attacking momentum to build time and time again. We simply give the ball away too often when not under pressure. The Friedl discussion _ I cannot see that he is anything other than a massive plus for Vlla except in one regard he shares with others. He does not consider possession precious. Roll it to our own players, or rugby league kick it off for a throw in by the corner flags. This is basic. Blackpool have the least talented squad in the Premier League, but treat the ball as precious. We don't. With Holloway Villa's current squad would be challenging top 4, but MON never thought the ball precious, and our defenders didn't tonight. I hope Houlllier does, because that one simple change in attitude of nearly always trying to build from the back will stop most results like this. We looked quite good going forward once in the oppositions half. The 3 big mistakes - Albrighton tiring or being switched, not sure which was the reason for a lesser second 45. Friedl giving the ball away unnecessarily. Plus wasteful and unnecessary free kicks.

Funny Pavfc, but City had more fouls than Blackburn too, despite barely touchin any of their players, same as Villa tonight. Go figure!

When Ash missed his sitter I got twitchy. When we started to play deep I got very twitchy. It slowly turned into a case of the same old same old. Can't be bothered to say how crap it all felt. Only thing making me post this is to say to reocokeriscrap that ol' hokey cokey was good tonite in long spells. I think his poor form might have been a confidence thing. He held the midfield together. I give up now.
