I am speechless, how we didnt even manage to score one goal is beyond me, I mean 18 ******** corners, unbelivable. Good luck for the rest of the season, and see you at Goodison (shakes head in disbelief)
Rob-EFC
Luke Young... not a right back, but a striker! Carew for right back

Good result, everton unlucky, Dissapointed in the crowd at VP though. Did anyone notice steward downing on the pitch? Or was it just me who didnt?

Brilliant defensive display, we rode our luck at times but i thought the back four & Friedel were excellent today. Ash showed touches of brilliance aswell, but can someone tell me what the f*** Petrov & Reo cocker were supposed to be doing?? they could'nt pass a ball if their lives depended on it. The sooner we get a decent manager in the better. (But you all know that already) UTV.
benny003
I thought Reo Coker was excellent today...but the whole team was gutsy.....how we won though I dont know !
MASON_PARKER
Eh MASON PARKER were you watching the same game as the rest of us?? Reo Coker is a donkey just like Petrov & that's exactly how they both played, can't say the same about Downing because i did'nt see him out there!!!
benny003
who's Downing?
krisvilla
Congrats lads. I thought we were the better side but when it came to defending you can't be faulted! You did have a few real chances and we didn't really. I don't agree that the ref was on our side tho. I think he gave a few decisions to both sides but can't say he was favouring us.

luckily ireland got injured in the warm up and rio come in and had a blinder.for me at the minute id play rio instead of downing, albrighton deserves his place and rio just gives us that bit of steel in the center,by the way just a quick mention for collins today we looked far better on set pieces with him in the team.utv
mjlmidlands
We are lucky and Ireland getting injured gave us a slighlty more stable midfield. Downing was invisible , petrov for me never a 90 minute player. On the plus side thought coker gave us energy in the middle, Albrighton ran all day long and played his heart out as did Ashley. Man of the match for me was Collins threw himself everywhere. Still trying to work out why we dont utilise the 3 subs rule, mon never did and Kmac only used 1, it was crying out for fresh legs however we survived now randy please get us a top top manager

Well I dont know how we did it, but we did it, and those very precious three points are all I really care about right now. Big defensive improvement on the St James Park shambles, hats off to every single wearer of the claret and blue this afternoom. Lot of positives, obviously still some very obvious negatives, but certainly plenty for the new man at the helm, when he's appointed, to build upon.

Great 3 points today. Not a great performance - we were up against it for much of the match - but the work rate and commitment could not be faulted. Collins nicks M of the M, but Reo Coker was great, and just what we needed. When Ireland is fit he has to play in the 'hole' with Ashley back on the wing with either Allbrighton or Downing on the other wing. Good to see Friedel put in a good performance too - I was a bit worried after Newcastle. Now 2 weeks to sort out a manager and hopefully get everyone fit for Stoke away. Up the Villa BLWOW
BLWOW
BLWOW, u nailed it. Collins MOTM, he won everything in the air! And drop downing for ireland. Ireland in the hole, ash and Albrighton on the wings. Maybe fighting for his place will make downing better coz he has looked a bad buy so far. Agree bout Friedel too, a few people near me saying he is passed it.
AndyFC
i think downing needs to come off the left he aint an out and out get at ya full backs winger and maybe drop petrov but who gunna play in the middle? petrov and reo cant play together thats for sure NO creativity but ireland is much mure affective in the hole he cant do box to bo like milner. maybe jus maybe try downing and reo in the middle? what you think lads? by the way i only rate reo for his work rate and defensive cover apart from that he is pretty useless he cant pass or shoot
black_villian
Rob im not dismissing the fact we were lucky, You had a lot of possetion but i didnt see any clear chances really. We had about 4 clear chances as MOTD highlights pointed out. It probably was fair if it was a draw. But the ref was a joke, our players was not dirty and we defended well. No need for sour grapes.
