ouch! to be fair austria wien isnt a really bad side but ireland is pretty awful! its not that you even miss milner that much more so you are playing with 10 players when he is out there...
RagingSpur
Wouldn't we C&B, not like O'Neill reached his level, realised his ferk ups given he couldn't go out and spend millions anymore to cover his back and thought better somebody else take the ***** was it. Wouldn't look good on his CV eh.....yeah cheers Monny, things would've been so much better with you here you bottling ........ Afterall, our defence was so solid in pre season and we all thought we'd still walk top 6 with the glasses at the helm PMSL Good riddance, just be nice if people realised where the blame should go instead of falling for his PR.
mike_field
Yes, I agree about Ireland Mr Field. But why was he playing so deep most of the time. I think he's a good 'buy' and will be better as a creative midfielder. He scored some goals for City oo, but he hardly got out of our half. They all seemed to be following instructions but they were very strange instructions.
144wittonlane
im not in here to down talk you team unlike some that came into our forum after we were losing to Young Boys 3-0. I am just saying my thoughts on the match tonight i have the right to an opinion we can disagree im not going to be hurt. I am just confused as to what happened to the great organization you guys had defensively...its seems to have disappeared overnight
RagingSpur
well said mike, ireland just needs to be encouraged to move forward more could be cuz he is new to the team and finding his feet, although didnt see much encouragement coming from Kmac on the bench he just sat up against the dug out, wasnt the french manager slagged for this?? worried that ashley young may be swayed now to leave we look beaten already
kaizersoze
Heskey MotM FFS Raging, you've just destroyed any credibility you may have had. Trot on now eh.
mike_field
mike_field I think it might be you not Watching the game if you thought that was acceptable, and do you think its acceptable to be thrashed 6 0 by an average newly promoted team? like him or not MON was a leader it was a steady ship and other teams respected us......can we say that now?
claretandbluearmy
kept flicking over from Citys easy victory to see supermans performance, not exactly milner is he!!!!
humpty
Playing Ireland in central midfield is why he lost form at City. Stick him in 'the hole' and he will be making killer passes and scoring goals in no time. Sorry to see you boys crash out so early.
eighthsin
Oh, and thanks for Milner XD

Kevin MAC is tactically inept.why put a winger on for a striker? Then bring a striker on and put him on the wing? Coker out. Heskey out. Beye out. KEVIN MAC OUT.
nottinghamvillain
NO Manager, no defence, no firepower up front, no midfield, out of europe, it's gonna be a great season..NOT.for the second game running our so called midfield have been tore to shreds, defence was all over the place....cant see us finishing any where near midtable this year. What a joke
polesworthvillian
field if youre not getting the backing from Lerner what else could he do?? Wheres lerner now? where's his leadership? where's the managerial decisions, where's the new transfers (for Mac or any other manager) I'm not saying MON was perfect far from it but who is? southgate, eriksson, curbishley or maradonna?? lets see where we end up this season without MON eh?
claretandbluearmy
*****, sorry beye is terrible, I think there was a reason MON did not play him last season, even though he bought him. Anyway KM needs to go back to reserve's, nice man so the players say, but u want a manager players fear and want his respect, not invite over for dinner. How many of man united players like fergie. So please learner get a manager, cut the dead wood, just release them free up wages, and put your money up and get 2 players up, a good forward and playmaker
Stuartavfclondon
kaizersoze i want heskey gone and i want heskey gone now i want him gone. i am truly embarrssed. stick habib beye on ebay, davies too, guzan get him gone as well if no one wants them terminate their contracts. That was incompetence tonight if you're incompetent in any other line of work the you get handed your P45. MON has completly ****ed us over. He wanted to spite Randy but it's the fans who are suffering. He's completely pulled the carpet from under Aston Villa FC's feet. Without Gabby and Ashley we are nothing. Seriously worrying times.
JeffBeck-TheLeftSide
Lost all control of that game tonight. Say what you like about MON but we were always tough to beat. Heskey MOTM? You see him balls up the rebound from Petrovs penalty!? And his goal - he didn't know a thing about it! HE'S NOT A FOOTBALLER!!!
oh lord
I can't see us winning another game this season if we go on like this...lets be honest that was pathetic !
MASON_PARKER
In a far better position going forward than under O'Neill's 'I have no consequences' attitude. No backing my rear, the money and control Monny had for 3 years, and he threw his toys....maybe he could've tried to work with the club instead of doing his best to shag it? Good riddance to an average chequebook manager. Yes we need to start again, that's not Randy's fault or KMac's...that's the waste O'Neill left us with and the position he bottled from facing because it wouldn't fit with his happy go lucky PR CV.

We had a mad few minutes in reality, failing that we were all over them. Maybe if O'Neill had left Big Mac with a Darren Bent or somebody else capable of scoring when it's not an unknown richochet of their bodily parts the game would've been different...same goes for having a back up left back - I could go on, I'm bored.

All hail Monny FFS
mike_field
Oh Lord indeed.

god is a rapid fan!

I hope all the people posting about how Kmac has to get the job after the West Ham game (esp in the Generals thread!) feel pretty silly now. This whole affair is a joke. Can't believe the board aren't interviewing any candidates until after we lose to Everton. WE'RE AN ABSOLUTE JOKE
SchoolBoyError
this is a ridiculous result, two years in a row though?? appears we learned nothing. i am not going to blame bash anybody, but something needs to be sorted out and fast. to the spurs fans - i watched yr game against YB and was happy to see you get through. what a contrast for us. two teams that were on a par not long back.
leftfoot
Am I the only one that can see Petrov is no defensive midfielder he was supposed to be getting stuck in braking up play in that position, his leadership qualities as captain are none existent i don't enjoy slagging a villa player but enough is enough. I know Reo is not the best player out there but its not rocket science to see his best position would be defensive midfield. I did want Kmac to be given a chance but tonight his team selection was as bad as MONs I mean playing unfit players and Carlos again at right back. Please I hope a new manger can see what i see.
chris the villan
Interesting to see the number of Spurs fans on this threat having a go at Ireland. These are the same Spurs fans that were desparate for him to come to WHL, so sounds like a bit of sour grapes to me. I notice Stevie is currently winning your MoTM poll - if he can do this from central midfield, imagine how good he'll be if KMAC (or whatever manager you have in the near future) actually plays him as an attackiing midfielder? Sorry to see you go out tonight, but (and you won't want to hear this), it WILL help your form in the league, and you might not fade out in the latter stages of the season as you have done in recent years.
fifthcolumnblue
You know what they say Pavfc - even a broken clock gets the time correct twice a day; bit like you and I agreeing - happens occasionally! ;)
fifthcolumnblue
Glad we have some common ground somewhere my friend.
P.Avfc
where were Luke Young and Warnock last night...anybody know if they were injured or not?
