Wouldn't we C&B, not like O'Neill reached his level, realised his ferk ups given he couldn't go out and spend millions anymore to cover his back and thought better somebody else take the ***** was it. Yes, I agree about Ireland Mr Field. But why was he playing so deep most of the time. I think he's a good 'buy' and will be better as a creative midfielder. He scored some goals for City oo, but he hardly got out of our half. They all seemed to be following instructions but they were very strange instructions.

im not in here to down talk you team unlike some that came into our forum after we were losing to Young Boys 3-0. I am just saying my thoughts on the match tonight i have the right to an opinion we can disagree im not going to be hurt. I am just confused as to what happened to the great organization you guys had defensively...its seems to have disappeared overnight

well said mike, ireland just needs to be encouraged to move forward more could be cuz he is new to the team and finding his feet, although didnt see much encouragement coming from Kmac on the bench he just sat up against the dug out, wasnt the french manager slagged for this?? worried that ashley young may be swayed now to leave we look beaten already

Playing Ireland in central midfield is why he lost form at City. Stick him in 'the hole' and he will be making killer passes and scoring goals in no time. Sorry to see you boys crash out so early.

NO Manager, no defence, no firepower up front, no midfield, out of europe, it's gonna be a great season..NOT.for the second game running our so called midfield have been tore to shreds, defence was all over the place....cant see us finishing any where near midtable this year.What a joke

In a far better position going forward than under O'Neill's 'I have no consequences' attitude. No backing my rear, the money and control Monny had for 3 years, and he threw his toys....maybe he could've tried to work with the club instead of doing his best to shag it? Good riddance to an average chequebook manager. Yes we need to start again, that's not Randy's fault or KMac's...that's the waste O'Neill left us with and the position he bottled from facing because it wouldn't fit with his happy go lucky PR CV.

We had a mad few minutes in reality, failing that we were all over them. Maybe if O'Neill had left Big Mac with a Darren Bent or somebody else capable of scoring when it's not an unknown richochet of their bodily parts the game would've been different...same goes for having a back up left back - I could go on, I'm bored.

I hope all the people posting about how Kmac has to get the job after the West Ham game (esp in the Generals thread!) feel pretty silly now. This whole affair is a joke. Can't believe the board aren't interviewing any candidates until after we lose to Everton. WE'RE AN ABSOLUTE JOKE

this is a ridiculous result, two years in a row though?? appears we learned nothing. i am not going to blame bash anybody, but something needs to be sorted out and fast. to the spurs fans - i watched yr game against YB and was happy to see you get through. what a contrast for us. two teams that were on a par not long back.

Am I the only one that can see Petrov is no defensive midfielder he was supposed to be getting stuck in braking up play in that position, his leadership qualities as captain are none existent i don't enjoy slagging a villa player but enough is enough. I know Reo is not the best player out there but its not rocket science to see his best position would be defensive midfield. I did want Kmac to be given a chance but tonight his team selection was as bad as MONs I mean playing unfit players and Carlos again at right back. Please I hope a new manger can see what i see.

Interesting to see the number of Spurs fans on this threat having a go at Ireland. These are the same Spurs fans that were desparate for him to come to WHL, so sounds like a bit of sour grapes to me. I notice Stevie is currently winning your MoTM poll - if he can do this from central midfield, imagine how good he'll be if KMAC (or whatever manager you have in the near future) actually plays him as an attackiing midfielder? Sorry to see you go out tonight, but (and you won't want to hear this), it WILL help your form in the league, and you might not fade out in the latter stages of the season as you have done in recent years.
