Another decent run out, good day for the Dunneymonster aswell as he Captained the side in his home city, just a shame he didn't come away with a win. Highlights are most probably the influence and performances of the youngsters again, Clark, Lichaj and Albrighton especially.

I heard Bannan tested the keeper twice when he came on for Downing, can someone give a player rating and why, Who's fault were the goals i heard Friedel made a mess of a clearance of the first one, and how did the fringe players do ? Shorey, Beye, Lichaj, Albrighton, Clark, Reo Coker, Bannan, What did Petrov bring to the game, how was Downing in the Centre, is Agbonlahor looking sharper, has he toned up more ? is Friedel past hes best ???
Villa 4 Ever
I just got back from the game, good match, Albrighton looked good, Bannan looked lively when he came on, Villa pretty much dominated throughout, 2 sloppy goals, the first a howler from Friedel, the second just a long ball through the centre that was smashed in. I wouldn't worry about this result at all. If anyone wants to anything about individual performances, just ask.

I was at the game,Petrov and Reo Coker gave us no drive whatsoever I dont think either played a foward pass all game.Young was upfront with Agbonlahor and by the end of the first half both were dropping too deep to recieve the ball.We looked much better in the second half when Carew came on and was able to hold the ball up and bring our midfield into play.Albrighton worked hard all afternooon,he did some excellent defensive work and always took his marker on,it was a brilliant dribble and cross from him for our equaliser.Bannan replaced the anonymus Downing and looked much better,he was constantly looking for the ball and trying to create. He showed the type of spark we had been missing.Osbourne and Hogg came on towards the end and Osbourne neglected his defensive duties to allow Enzo play a one two around our defender and shoot past Friedel.I think Bohs only had about four shots all game, they passed much better than we did.Our Central Midfield was rubbish,I wasnt impressed by Downing.Albrighton and Bannan looked our best players.

Again, it's not always the result that matters in friendlies...it's the work put forth. Sounds like there was some good work by a few players.

Yes, good work by the youngsters who will no doubt now grace the bench for the rest of the season.

Clearly still a lot of fine tuning to undergo before we can declare ourselves ready for another campaign of premier league football, but that is exactly what these pre-season games are all about, brushing away the cob-webs, and ironing out the kinks. Still something of a surprising result though if I may be so bold, but a result that will be forgotten by all, within twenty-four hours, as we look forward to our next warm up game at Walsall. From what I can see there were a few plus points, so lets build on the one or two positives, work on the negatives, and get ourselves ready for the visit of West Ham United.

Downing looking like a complete FAIL again, 12m down the drain
