Well that's Top 4 sadly over with another season. No other way to say it but we were lucky to get a point to be honest. All credit for the players keeping on going, but it just simply wasn't good enough on almost every level. Passing, movement, crossing - even more sadly it's pretty much what most expected.

And on that note I bid you goodnight and simply ponder if we are even in the race for Top 6 now given there's very little confidence for 3 points in the games we have coming up.

I agree top 4 is basically over unless spurs and city lose alot of games. Very dissapointed tonight, expect drastic changes in the summer and if not its gonna be midtable for us because we just arent good enough. Defence is solid sometimes but sometimes vulnerable, we need someone abit more creative, the wingers do some good build up play but the final ball is always poor and our strikeforce well what can i say, needed an own goal to get us the draw. I never moan like this really but something about tonight just put me in a really bad mood, im a massive fan of oneil but i can see where all the haters get their comments from now, id give him one more season and if the same mistakes come up surely someone must come in. but still i kinda trust oneil we just need 3 quality players such as carrick, hleb and huntelaar?? bit too much to ask but at least carrick and hleb are possible. Gutted but least i can enjoy the rest of the season with no stress of losing now as its all but over for top four. Ps. i didnt go to the game due to having to help family arrange a big party for tommorow and i gave my season ticket to a friend so im not an armchair fan ;)

I thought we were the better side in the first half and missed a couple of absolute sitters, Everton will be upset because it was a last minute goal but i think a draw was a fair result. Having said that the race for 4th is over and it's time to start looking at next season and start giving the youngsters a go. Heskey and Carew and just not good enough and should be sold and the end of theseason.

At least the lads showed a bit of bottle tonight, but Everton deserved their point. As Leerj0 said, no plan B cost us again. 4th will go to the wire, but it won't be us that get it, sadly. Ahead of Liverpool is as good as it gets now, and Europa League again is where we are at in reality with the current squad.

Still lots to play for, top 6 and europe would be a decent season in my eyes, should finish above both Liverpool and everton. Think a little perspective is needed. We arent good enough for the top 4, the top 3 are in a different league to the rest of the sides in the prem, citeh have sneaked in by spending absolute fortunes. This is what it will take to get top 4 and its just not going to happen at Villa

Everton are on a roll and we were fortunate to get a draw after their recent results. We could/should be 4 points behind 4th place with 4 games to go come Sunday (having to play the current 4th place in the process.) Too many 4s around here and almost everyone will say that I am being very optimistic. I couldn't make it so may have been spared the poor tactics and same old predictability but it's not over yet and someone has to counteract the constant moaning on this site (although I sympathise and agree mostly.) Albrighton on the bench for the reserves tonight, hopefully he will get a run out with another cameo from Fonz at the weekend!! The optimism has turned to madness now.
Villan444
There's enough madness around Villa Park without you adding more 444! lol We shouldn't feel fortunate to draw against Everton at Villa Park if we are supposed to be challenging for fourth place. We shouldn't feel relieved to be spared poor tactics and predictability. It is not moaning to say this end of the season is down to MoN's daft stubborn behaviour. UTV and fingers crossed for some results coming our way in the remaining fixtures. Crossed fingers are all we've got going for us.
