So Champions again for the 3rd season running, fantastic achievement from the lads and played out in some style aswell. Especially as we still have two games left to play.

Given the game was played behind closed doors at Bodymoor Heath given the fixtural problems both clubs ran into, their will be match highlights on the official site later today and the whole game will be streamed on AVTV aswell later tonight I believe.

A nice little pick me up after the disappointment of Saturday. Congratulations to all involved with the second teams success this season. Its been full deserved, and they've played some decent football along the way. Several of the younger lads have done their growing reputations no harm at all, and are hopefully now better prepared to take their careers onto the next level. Barry Bannan on the scoresheet, but what's his status right now? Anybody know? I thought that he was back out on loan at Bloomfield Road, Blackpool, but that is clearly not the case. I think that it was only last weekend though that I saw his name indicating that he was on the bench for The Tangerines, so I would have expected him to remain there until seasons end.

Glen Bannan came back to us following an injury for treatment. I think they gave him permission to play today for the fitness element, but he will be going back to them shortly from what I know. I think it was really just to get another 90 minutes under his belt after an ankle problem.

Bannan came on as sub againxt newcastle, and hopefully I will see him make an appearance on Saturday agaist Forest, and get Blackpool's play-off chances back on track.

Yes, he seems to have done reasonably well up at Blackpool, and its been pleasing to read positive reports on his performances. I have high hopes for him at Villa Park, he's been a younster I've admired since I first saw him in action at Bodymoor Heath. Small in stature maybe, but big in both heart and talent. Very good footballing brain, a young man destined I believe for a very successful career, hopefully here at dear old Brummagem B6.

Fantastic Villa.

Well deserved win for the boys, a winning mentality and the confidence that goes along with it are priceless to a player, hopefully we'll see some of them challenging the first teamers for a start.

The youth and reserve team set up at Villa deserves a lot of praise

Wouldnt it be nice if, god forbid, Everton beat us and we look incredibly unlikely to get 4th (as if it is not already so) to play an XI that looks like this: Guzan - Roome, Bouma, Davies, Clarke - Albighton, Hofbauer, Bannan, Delph - Delfouneso, Weimann!! Just to see how they would get on.........we would surely be fined though!! Certainly would like to see Davies, Bouma, Clarke, Delph, Albrighton and Delfouneso START all the remaining games!!! Maybe with the England hopefuls scattered amongst them!! Maybe Guzan - L Young, Bouma, Clarke, Davies - Downing, Young, Milner, Delph - Delfounso, Agbonlahor

The future is very bright with these young lads to come thru. Out of all of these MUST be a future star. Congrats to the back room staff also.
