| Fantastic effort and commitment again tonight. For the most part we played it well apart from our hoofball moments, but I'm bored repeating the same old things after every single game so I'm not going to bother tonight - I'm just going to enjoy the effort. Suffice to say 'one win per month' sounds quite catchy, as does the forums' 'Champions League you're having a laugh'. But they pale in comparison when presented with this mental tactic we have of talking about rotation, not running players into the ground, and not playing folks when they have injuries or are so obviously knackered it goes beyond funny and then shocking the opposition by using the very same players we do every single match...works a treat, they never see it coming! | ||||||||

Gutted again! I should of put my house on Villa to draw! Lookin at the table now, If Tottenham get 3points from the Top3 and 1 against City, Top4 is theres, Looks like Villa are fighting for 5th!

What is about March ????? the wigan game must have been a fluke !!! LOL !! another missed opportunity ! I think any chance of getting 4th is slipping away, but who cares ... you don't get trophys for 4th ..... but its all still good ........... still unbeaten this year, and the still in the FA cup. I for one still think this is a good season.

Dunne, Petrov, Milner were. Now we can add Heskey and Milner again. Was a good performance though apart from moments, and they really did give it all and battle so I can't be too unfair on them tonight, they'll feel it tomorrow and that's all you can ask sometimes. Some of our play at points was sublime though.

yep, agreed MF, thought it was a quality performance (and the team did alright aswell !! LOL) but no finishing product .... oh, for a 20+ a season striker !!

Hiya, agree with you all.... that was an excellent performance, and were it not for an awesome performance by Gordon, we would have won that most days. Positives apart from the performance were the fact that Man City lost! (I had them down as a draw), so it's not all bad.... get a point at the bridge on saturday, and we're still in there lads ;) Think it's tottenhams to lose now though (although they're good at that) I've been playing my Aston Villa drinking game - every villa goal is a single JD, and if Heskey scores, it'[s a double :D As you can see from my typing... not much outlay tonight :>

Bitterly disappointed, but what can you say?
We played pretty well, but I just don't understand it, it's like it's just not meant to be. I looked at the time and we were on 63 mins. I said "we aren't going to score". I won't even mention the officials.

Yes we played ok, so in isolation it is not bad, but it is not in isolation, it is 1 win in last 7 home league games, 8th place finish at best, not good enough, when will the blind stop helping to perpetuate this ineptitude, same team, same result, same team, same result etc,etc,etc, one person at fault, the guy with the look in his eye that says 'you know, everyone else is a bit thicker than me'

the statistic that has killed us the past seasons, and this one, is the amount of DRAWS.... 12 we sit on now...convert even a third of these into wins and we are on 59 points.... and i would feel a whole lot more satisfied... everton are creeping up on us as well by the way....and playing really good football...

By not losing we are getting points but its not good enough really to settle for a home draw is it? Chelsea up next for another tough game. Hopefully our lack of midweek games over the next fortnight will help with a little needed rest. D Bent looked sharp and how I wish he was coming tous in the summer!!

Just had a look at all remaining fixtures, i think Villa, spurs and liverpool all finish on 68 points, City 67, Everton 64. Its sure gonna tight and all tom play for, lets not give up.

Awful officials. How many throw ins and corners did they give the wrong way? Great move for our goal (and great through ball for theirs) but a poor middle section of 2nd half. Scrappy at times. GET IT ON THE FLOOR! Frustrating. :(
