I didn't actually see this one today and I think I'm glad I didn't. We saw some rotation on the bench with Clark and Albrighton back but for some reason nothing on the pitch. I'm beginning to think Hercs understand Monny's idea of rotation better than anybody.

Well 3 points were needed, we salvaged 1 meaning the 3 games in hand have given us 5 points all in. Whether that will be enough remains to be seen, however the consensus appears to be '4th place you're having a laugh' following the game and sadly it could well be true unless we turn some of these draws into wins and put together a winning streak.

3 wins out of 10 then...team looks slow and lacks creativity.

IMO Villa played poor today. Up to the 1st goal we was on fire then we slipped up, even doe Carew scored 2goals or 1, dunno if he touched it but i would rate 7.5/10. Carlos needs to go back to center, Luke Young should start, and even delph or delfouneso,. Anyways glad we got a point, hope Spurs fail to Stoke, gonna be a tough ask.

It was always going to be tight for 4th place and this was one of the games most people had down for a win .. 2 points lost and 4th place going down the gurgler . Hate to be negative but when is Martin going to work out what 90% of the free world already knows .. Heskey isnt good enough ..nice to see Albrighton given a run but would've liked to have seen Delfouneso on for Heskey .

When Dunne went off injured Carlos should have replaced him with Luke Young brought on as right back . C'mon Stoke

Beginning to feel like last season. Why no Luke Young? Why no rotation. Looking tired. Agree with all three above. Sinking feeling. We might be able to lift things for FA cup, but now, I am doubting that as well. No chance for 4th place unless other teams slip up. Maybe I'll feel better tomorrow.

I dont think we're good enough for 4th,so I think we have done very well this season.More money needs to spent to take us to the next level. The players and manager are doing the best they can.Thought Sidders and Albrighton did very well when they came on.

Hey! I actually got to see this game on tv for a change. A. Young looked very motivated on the left. Unfortunately, I thought Downing was pretty lethargic on the right. He never ran at his defender, just passed it back to Carlos and Collins. Worse yet, he didn't put much effort into the defense. I was glad to see Albrighton put on the right wing to actually try something. I hope Albrighton isn't too depressed with his performance, though. I don't know that he got a cross within 15 yards of his target. Carew and Heskey were physically punishing. Also credit Sidwell for hustling up to shoot for Carew's second.

most positive thing was Carew played well today. We are too predictable though. Going to watch the sky summary and a few highlight parts of the game (recorded) and then might get the energy for a match report... on the other hand, I shout myself hoarse today and my hand is hurting from banging the boardings, if Heskey had put in the same effort, we'd have been laughing! Oh and agree attila11101, Ash was also very good.

The midfield need to start taking more responsability.Petrov is good at shooting and should be scoring much more goals.Too often teans stand off us knowing we will just pump it foward. The midfield has space to attack and should be punishing teams instaed of giving it back to Cuellar and Collins all the time.

Thought we look very tired today. Would like to Albrighton replace Downing on Wednesday night. Also Luke to play right back as well. Why didn't the Fonz get a run out? Don't think we have enough in the locker for fourth though. Let MON prove me wrong, i hope!

They actually stood off Collins and Cuellar today, as the opposition manager has worked out that they are so bad at passing the ball that if they are not marked they will get the ball and then play such a bad pass we will lose the ball, it is actually a tactic now to let them have it

Man U figured that out 10 mins into the league cup final and neutralised us with it.Albrighton as a RWB could be interesting he put in a very good tackle when he came on,could be our Bale?

Angry villa fan; we didn't lose, but you are correct, it feels as if we did

Just got home from Nice. Feeling low like the rest. Wolves played us well. Spurs are winning. Think 5th is now the best we can do. Its still my team and i still love my club. UP THE VILLA

Without wanting to whinge and moan, it just felt today like MON does things through sheer stubborness. It was clear to all Cuellar was having a mare. At one stage he looked like he'd completely lost confidence. I was also amazed to see Petrov for the second half. He'd been booked, was on a final warning well before half time. One more mistimed tackle and he was off. Yet MON still doesn't take him off. We were losing to a bottom 5 side with a young striker on the bench and yet he still doesn't bring him on. Sometimes I really don't know what game he's watching.

i know its a discrace we lost to wolves twice this season these are games we should be winning especially at home. us yids would be on 61pts already if we done what was expected. u boys are not out of it yet just a minor setback. 9games and 27pts still up for grabs for ya.
black-messi
If we won the games we was expected we would be on 70 points? the 2 games against wolves, against wigan, burnley, blackburn, west ham and point against liverpool. Doesnt work out like that does it black messi because theres also points you probly should have lost take everton for example against you lot they were unlucky to get the draw or the win.

Decent enough game I thought. Wolves deserved their point, and on that sort of form they look a damn sight better than the likes of Hull City and Burnley, so good luck to them. Thought Kevin Doyle had an excellent game, man how I wish we'd have snapped him up last summer instead of going with what we'd got. Playing him alongside Gabby looks to me as if its the type of route we should be taking. Someone to provide options and alternatives. Cany understand MON's reluctance to throw on Luke Young, something there just isn't right, and needs clarifying. Not that it will be.
