Bright performance from the youngsters, nice to finally see Clark on the pitch again, but no doubt questions remain.

Onwards and upwards in either case!

Are defence ent as powerfull with out brad friedel in goal. Guzan played every carling cup game but sorry to say, He needs to be dropped for the final.. I was hopin we could get about 6 goals to day but after droping 6players, 3v2 well do.. :)

Will MoN drop Guzan for the final? I don't think so. No doubt there'll be some heated debate on this subject in the next five weeks!!

A great gate there.... what... 33,000 Villa fans? The offer that Villa came up with looks to have worked out to perfection. I bet there's a few kids making their VP debut today. Hope the ground expansion plans are still current.

Gutted for Albrighton. Poor lad. Put in a perfect cross for the goal too.

interesting debate in the forum about Guzan / Friedel godzvilla.

Such a shame for Albrighton, set up the first goal beautifully then had to come off. Looked so distraught. He'll get other chances but that isn't the point! Good game, BHA didn't shame themselves in any way but our quality did win out. Delph and Delfouneso looked bright as well.

guzan should play in the funal no doubt. wouldnt of got past sunderland without him. i know friedel is great but all keepers will make the odd mistake and dropping guzan sends the wrong message. we might as well find out if he is up to replacing friedel while we still have friedel.

what is all this rubbish about dropping guzan... a few weeks ago a hero... In my humble opinion, i believe he should play... he helped us get there and deserves it for his patience and undoubtable talent and potential. How is he supposed to gain experience and incentive to stay at villa?? How typical there are calls for him to be dropped... "villa Haters" for a few iffy performances..... it is lame. sort it out people

Guzan's made more mistakes in the two semi's than friedal's made all season . If we make any mistakes against the mancs we cant score six goals against them so we will blow our first final in ten years . Old Brad looked a bit shaky when he first joined us but he's playing well now , young Brad will get his chance but it shouldn't be at the expense of any silverware .

I love Villa and i like both Brads but you have to put the team before a player . Fantastic game against Sunderland but you cant base a whole season on one game and he's been playing b@ll@cks lately .

good to see the attendance proves there is still some magic in the FA Cup! Or were you all after Carling Cup tickets?

Gutted I didn't make this. Only the 2nd home game I've missed all season in all competitions (Wigan was the other - I was on holiday). Glad we're through. How many games are we away from a 2nd Wembley appearance, is it 3?

It's not about villa haters - go back through this site and find a post where I have slagged off a player. It is about what is right for what game. Guzan has some talent, but the FA Cup game Vs Blackburn, the semis and today have exposed massive weaknesses that he needs to work on. Good management is about picking the right team for each game and for the pressure of a final at wembley, Guzan is not ready. If he drops a clanger and we lose it could ruin his career (think Enkleman). Guzan's time will come.

We wouldn't have got by Sunderland without Guzan, but can we afford to blow another final because of a goalkeeping error (Calamity James in 2000). The other side of the coin is that he WILL save at least one out of 5 in a shoot out (Peace Cup. Sunderland) if needs be. Gamble, and we'd all laugh if it's Barry who Brad saves from at Wembley. Wouldn't that be sweet?

I'd rather go with Friedel then bring on Guzan if it comes to it

Hands up anybody who hasn't had the Enkleman video sent to you by email (about 10 times) it still makes me shudder .
