| Pathetic second half performance, classy first half. With a decent referee and not an incompetent impersonation we'd have won far more comfortably given Blackburn by rights should've been down to about 9 men at least, (handball, Collins, Downing) and that's ignoring the two blatant penalties Tvvatenburg completely missed whilst no doubt trying to look pretty on camera. If the FA, the Premiership or the Referee's Association have any 'balls' at all they will restrict this incompetent buffoon from any match more important that a four boy kick about on a school field in future. It's every game he's involved with, he's certainly not bias to any one club, he is just useless. That said Allardyce is back to form...not content with making Newcastle play like a bunch of thugs, he seems to be helping Blackburn do the same. Disappointed, I always quite liked them, but on that 'performance' Pompey will be a greater loss to the league. | ||||||||

I actually agree Benji, but it stopped Ash from getting the header cleanly so has to be looked at as denying a goalscoring opportunity ergo red card. Other point is intent or not, if you are stupid enough to go with your arms that high in the box you should get what's coming to you. But as JF says, what the hell he gave them a freekick for I have no idea. Clattenburg's decisions to be honest gave Rovers the chance to try and comeback, they'd have been out of sight otherwise. But a win's a win, the onus is on Rovers at VP now - the margin should've been bigger BUT it's a margin nonetheless and I'd have certainly took 1-0 before the match as you knew Rovers would be tighter after our last match.
