Reasonably comfortable win in the end, through to the next round and back to winning ways after hiccups against Arsenal and Liverpool.

Nice to see Delboy getting on the scoresheet aswell although it would've been nicer to see Albrighton get some more time aswell.

delph had been ill over the last few days AMS78, even yesterday they didn't think he'd be able to feature at all.

don't know whether i'm thankful it was injury as MON wasn't being a v silly boy :) or vice versa!!

Delph and NRC played great. Why didn't albrighton come on? Shame delph didn't come out the 2nd half. What does Sidwell bring to the team? I just hope MON keeps playing NRC, He was the best player on the pitch today.

He was also the best player against Liverpool and shouldn't of been taken off, Sidwell will not come good, Get rid of him.

Delph was excellent in the first half. We all know he likes a tackle and that was evident plus his passing and through balls where superb. We missed him in the 2nd half as there was no creativity from midfield. Professional job well done over 90 minutes though.

And only 18,000 empty seats. at 20 a ticket plus additional revenue on catering, programmes, merchandise etc we only let the owners down to the tune of about half a million quid. But no doubt the stayaways will be demanding the club spend money on new players in the forseeable future!!!!!!

Good win both managers will have been cautious with the semi-final coming soon to a ground near you.

voiceoftheholte, to be fair it has just got past xmas when most normal folk are skint!! That along with a few games in quick succession doesn't help matters. Whatever the attendance I do hope we add one or two new faces to the squad this window. UTV.

Good game, 1st haf ruined by a family sitting behind me on their annual outing to VP but a few 'stage whispers' from me and trekker shut them for the 2nd half (one of them thought we were playing Boro for some strange reason). Really impressed with Delph, think we've signed a good un there.

voth - we know you think our support is crap. Put another record on. Most FA Cup gates were down by a long way. In percentage terms from a poor base Wigan 's gate was the most atrocious. Our's at 25,000 + was one of the best of the day.

stennyvilla you ar so wrong. I think our supporters are great, although we should be so much more vocal. By supporters, I mean people who get off their backside, pays their money and actually attend games. However those who can afford to go, but who choose not to are the ones who are 'crap'. And I can't believe as a Villa fan you are using Wigan as comparable support. Why not use Spurs who had a full house against lower league opposition even though they charged more for the tickets. Or Everton who had more against a team in the botton division? Sorry I forgot, Everton and Spurs fans don't have worries about money, are recession proof and never spent any money on Christmas!!!!
