Well not for the first time these stats just look wrong...but who cares. We are on a run. It was a good performance; plenty of skill when needed and allowed, plenty of grit and determination when needed and no choice.

That'll do me.

i've heard of getting stuck in, but that's cana is scum. what a mug. shame to see gabby diving as well. aside that, another win without really hitting 3rd gear. a win against stoke and we'll be in great momentum come arsenal.

Cana cannot stay on his feet for more than three seconds, Richardson was absolutely awful tonight,,,, read my report on the Vital Sunderland page.

I may have Claret and blue glasses on but i dont remember Gabby diving i saw him get tripped in the penalty area and should have had a penalty . Milner was fantastic Garry Barry will be looking over his shoulder . The whole defence especially Dunne were solid even Heskey is playing well and Ashley Young had one of his better games .

Gabby should have had a penalty from the Petrov long ball? Definitely. But he took a bit of a tumble about 10 minutes after Milner's goal, I think it was with Turner. Can't totally remember! I said from the start that Milner is the perfect replacement for GB. In fact, with a few more years experience, penalty-taking aside, I think he could be better than GB - if he isn't already ;) Downing had a good game, too. Very unlucky with the freekick. UTV. Bring on stoke, we've gotta get them back for last season.

Sky sports stats tell a story of a dominent display with wasted chances from sunderland. Villa with 42% of play simply took their chances after missing a couple of openings. Still good though as this could have been a simple revenge for the cup defeat! We now must beat stoke and then maybe we can just turn up against le arsenal. Nice to see Milner get on the sheet with what reads to be a 25yds screamer, was it that good? UTV.
