Good result. 3 out of the next 4 games very tough away fixtures. We'll tell more from these games coming up how we're progressing. Nice to go into it on the back of a 3 - 0 win.

Couldn't get down today, gutted. How did Heskey play? How was the new look midfield? Another 90 minutes from Downing as well. He's either got amazing fitness levels or we really are seeing the benefits of our world class training facilities.

We should get a spot after Man Yoo, Arsenal and Chelsea but before Wolves and Wigan, 5 minutes could be stretching it TBH.

gary got no time for villa on motd :( as per. 5-1 bolton game got like 50 seconds and they devoted nearly half an hour to tottenham 2 - 0 sunderland. strangely excited about our winter run. we deserve something from united after last season. sunderland will look to make right their loss to us in the cup. stoke are gay. we will give arsenal a game at the emirates. we should beat liverpool if they don't pull their fingers out. and then we're in for a very, very merry 2010. but, let's face it, it's villa and it's not going to pan out fabulously for us! i would take 7/8 points from the next four games, but i'm looking forward to seeing what the top 8 looks like in the new year. Didn't think I'd ever be writing this, but I was impressed with Heskey today. If you have MOTD recorded, watch how he makes space for Dunne with his run, took two defenders with him. I guess that's what they mean when they say how creates things for others. Possibly the best game I've seen him have in a claret and blue shirt!

I thought Heskey had a good game. he should have scored though. Scuffed a shot in the 1st half and tried to turn inside the defender instead of shooting in the 2nd. Once again Atwell proved to be the most incompetent ref I've ever seen. 7 yellow cards in the game and there wasn't a bad tackle in sight. He totally lost the plot in the 2nd half.

Got to say i believe Sidders should have a space on the Man of the Match. Excellent pass by him to set the quick throw to James!!!
