Now those stats for us look nothing like the match I saw. However I'm not going to comment on us today, I'm simply going to say well done Burnley, that is how football should be played. You deserved all 3 points today and you can hold your heads high!

Bright points, the suprise inclusion of Downing who whilst not setting the alight showed unlike the rest of the squad (including strangely Milly for a change) he can actually pass a ball to a fellow player. Erm and we sit in 4th place now somehow.

Can't believe that possession judging by what I just watched. Burnley dominated the first half and the second half wasn't much better. I'd be totally gutted if I was NRC now, no matter what MON says, the hatchet has not been buried. So much for keeping your place if you play well. Ok, negatives over.

Plus side, first team to get a point there this season I think. Downing played a part so if back and fit. Heskey goal might give him confidence. A point away from home, especially after such a woeful display, is no disgrace.

What happened to "I'd be happy to win ugly" lads? Have you forgotten how many times the Sky Four have been to Villa Park and nicked one or all three points without deserving them? Despite your lack of enthusiasm for the way we play, we ARE actually 4th at the moment.

I couldn`t give a monkeys about being 4th in November, until this Manager loses the stubborness we won`t kick on,NRC deserved to start after last game and we needed him today when they were taking the mick, great to nick a point and Downing a plus bigtime, last 5 away games will bite us on the ass

I have always liked NRC and feel confident when he is in the team. I'm not sure what Petrov or even Sidwell do every week to keep him out. Petrov for me, should never have been given the arm band that guranteees him a starting place. I'd give it to Milner.

They've won 5 out os six at home before today only losing to wigan (sounds familiar). Not an awful result but had i been writing this before the equaliser i may be saying something different....we did not deserve anything out of today but we have all been on the reverse of this so i'll take it...the performance was dreadful as have a lot of our performances been a little below par this year yet we find ourselves 4th ,so its hard to to complain at that..the league has seen some strange results this year..I shall reflect on the fact that after an awful performance we still get something out of the game which is a good trait to have...up the villa...
