Another decent 3 points. First half was most definitely the highlight and the whole match petered out in the second half.

Slightly worrying the chances we allowed Pompey, but Friedel was in fine form again.

Another mildly impressive cameo from Delph aswell. Onwards and upwards and let's see if we can make it 5 on the bounce when we meet up with old mates Whits and Encks in the Cardiff Cup tie!

Chances came through the Midfield, still don't think we have that area tidied up yet, still think we should put 5 across the middle. Defence and attack is working well though. Hope James Collins is ok!

Kinda, if we persist with playing back to front, carew makes a big difference. But we do look really light in midfield with only 2.. Good win though, pompey might have dominated the stats but the game wasnt even close

Good result. Decent display by Warnock & Collins. Dunne needs to work on his heading & what the hell was that pass 2 Friedel? (Who BTW was excellent IMO.) Best part of the match apart from Gabby's goal was on the 77th minute. Heskey injured! The guy can't even walk, run or jump without making a balls of it. Hopefully he won't B bk in a Villa shirt anytime soon (or at all). Bit disappointed Gardner didn't get nod ahead of Delph. Again, we did what was needed, well done lads.
