Thought they did us proud tonight.
The Fear
Hear hear, from what I could catch from the commentary at work sounded like a belter of a game. full match analysis to follow Jon???
steff_the_villan
just have no luck yet again! and as for the ref dont even start me!
Belfast Villain
Battled well, gave their all, probably deserved something. Having said that, another set-back. Its stating the obvious to say that we need a few results, but we do.
glensider
Same old, same old ? Just felt like we could have played until Sunday and wouldn`t have scored and if we had of done you know the bleepin ref would have disallowed it !!! The linesman flagging Villa in 1st half should be shot too, just make sure our strikers don`t do the shooting, positives in the game without doubt but the players seem to be losing belief with every defeat.
ASPINALL
It's easy to moan we had no luck, but we just lack creativity and steel in midfield and throughout the team we just don't look good enough. This has been the problem for nearly a decade now, the result of the squad being sold off and replaced now with youngsters from the academy. We desperately need some experience in the team, not just raw talent with no end result.
Hoss The Villain
Its getting to be more and more a case of hanging on til the end of the season now, hoping we stay up, so we can buy some badly needed quality in the summer. I agree with Aspinall, we just never looked like scoring last night, then again, we seldom do.
jonah
was late and I was tired, I'd put barry as sub not McCann, corrected now.
The Fear
is only me, or do Villa look half dead when they play, they dont win any ball, and arent running asa they did at the start of the season...
Faroe_villa_rules
I thought this was the best we have played for some time, but i keep saying this time and time again about the importance of keeping possesion of the ball, once again we keep giving the ball away under no pressure which is criminal at this level and is one of the things MON must drill into the players OR bring in players who can...!
deemz
Agree with the previous comments about our lack of goalscoring threat, a problem that has been with us since day one back at The Emirates. We still have failed to score more than two goals in any given premiership encounter, and even the other week up on Tyneside when we virtually attacked throughout, we never realistically looked capable of scoring the two more goals that on the night would have secured us a solitary point.
glensider
Despite how well we may have played, Jens Lehmann still enjoyed a reasonably quiet evening, and that I think puts things into perspective.
