Well, like you, I'll take the 3 points and take heart in the look of the table - But!.....Not at all convincing, were we? Gabby on his own, Ash's and Jimmy's crosses were poor and Hokey Cokey giving the ball away and we looked nervous at home again.

not the best performance again but another 3 points! i really hope we start clicking soon like dion said our lucks not going 2 last forever! west ham and hull we we're extremelly lucky i think we played better today but still not anywhere near our potential! i dont understand why sir martin never brought gabi off half way threw the second half though! he stoped chasing everything and looked really lazy we should of bought harewood on as thats all he does! o well like i said another 3points and 3rd in the league...now lets hope for some transfer activity or am i asking 2 much? UP THE VILLA

Well this is the sort of game which decides whether a team stays in the Top 4 or not. West brom were actually looking good for a result and the first goal was I think against the run of play. But to succeed in te Prem I suppose some results just have to be ground out by just staying focused. The first goal even came from an ex-West Brom player and the second was basically a goalkeeper gaffe. Even then Albion managed to pull a goal back... But Villa did enough to get the points and at this stage of the season that's probably all that matters.

Thought Hokey Cokey did well after a nightmare first 20 minutes. He muscled his way and won some ball there after. Well done Brad for catching the ball on the few occasions he had to/could do. I take it all back.......for now. Congrats to Curtis for great sportsmanship and respect. Better performance and it's good win again but I am waiting for us to rip some team apart. We did it a few times last season. In fact I have a very nice framed example on the wall thanks to Santa

Fair play to Carson for repaying all those cock ups from last year, fair play also to MON for getting rid of him.

Decent local derby, we had our chances to make it more, not sure about their pen claim, not watched it back yet. Petrov man of the match, agree with ric112, he really battled.

No Dannyvellow, Curtis header was still far to high for Andy Gray, he usually headed them with his elbows draging the ground! But I agree, fair play to Curtis for no celebration. Penalty decision was right, although at first I thought it was one. But Ashley didnt touch him. Wasn't a great performance I must admit. But we definitely won in the stats! We even scored more fouls and offsides!
