WE ARE THIRD AT CHRISTMAS!!!!!!! If that doesn't "quell" your "Hamburg disappointment" then someone needs to review their priorities.

Hamburg and tonight were completely different - Hamburg was the perfect opportunity to rest many first-teamers and MON was right to do it (sorry for the fans that travelled though), and today was fantastic - its great to pick up all 3 points when we dont play well. Surely the sign of champions?? :D

Consider it quelled Vital Villan, think it was chalk and cheese. Guzan possibly back to his best? Great saves. Thought that was a great win, we did ride our luck but we deserve a bit of luck here and there. Delighted!

Bolton mucked it up and couldn't deal with long balls down the flanks for G & A to chase, but others do cope with it. It was our only game plan again and we need to have a better mix of ways of playing, or our luck will not hold. Controlled domination of the midfield plus a fit or new front man to hold the ball up AND our exciting speed down the flanks is too much to ask - but I hope that MON is going to deliver some way towards it in the January sales please. Of course after a longstanding winless return to have all of a sudden rattled off 3 wins in the capital this season is great.

Sorry to rain on the villa 3rd at crimbo party but think. Ten years ago we were top at this time and fell apart. I will not let myself think of european football next season untill this season is over.

Wow that was a lucky 3 points - had they had Ashton up there instead of Cole we would have got beaten!! Reinforces the need for more options in January - but my McGrath - we are 3rd!!!! I understand what you are saying Tallaght Villan but the Premiership is much harder this year. Being in the top4 means we are a more attractive proposition in the window. Lets hope the Baggies beat Man City tomorrow and keep them in bottom 3 so we can have the pick of the bunch of players available in Jan - ridiculous fees and wages or not!!
