A very lucky 3 points tonight. Not sure it will quell the Hamburg disappointment.

"A very lucky 3 points tonight. Not sure it will quell the Hamburg disappointment." Erm... 3 points are 3 points. Lucky or unlucky I don't care. I also don't care about Hamburg. WE ARE THIRD AT CHRISTMAS!!!!!!! If that doesn't "quell" your "Hamburg disappointment" then someone needs to review their priorities.

Hamburg and tonight were completely different - Hamburg was the perfect opportunity to rest many first-teamers and MON was right to do it (sorry for the fans that travelled though), and today was fantastic - its great to pick up all 3 points when we dont play well. Surely the sign of champions?? :D

Consider it quelled Vital Villan, think it was chalk and cheese. Guzan possibly back to his best? Great saves. Thought that was a great win, we did ride our luck but we deserve a bit of luck here and there. Delighted!

Bolton mucked it up and couldn't deal with long balls down the flanks for G & A to chase, but others do cope with it. It was our only game plan again and we need to have a better mix of ways of playing, or our luck will not hold. Controlled domination of the midfield plus a fit or new front man to hold the ball up AND our exciting speed down the flanks is too much to ask - but I hope that MON is going to deliver some way towards it in the January sales please. Of course after a longstanding winless return to have all of a sudden rattled off 3 wins in the capital this season is great.

3 points and Ash didn't get booked. One more yellow and he would have missed the Arse game on Boxing Day I think.

Sorry to rain on the villa 3rd at crimbo party but think. Ten years ago we were top at this time and fell apart. I will not let myself think of european football next season untill this season is over.

Wow that was a lucky 3 points - had they had Ashton up there instead of Cole we would have got beaten!! Reinforces the need for more options in January - but my McGrath - we are 3rd!!!! I understand what you are saying Tallaght Villan but the Premiership is much harder this year. Being in the top4 means we are a more attractive proposition in the window. Lets hope the Baggies beat Man City tomorrow and keep them in bottom 3 so we can have the pick of the bunch of players available in Jan - ridiculous fees and wages or not!!
