man of the match Gareth Barry for me, his passing at times is world class and he ran himself into the ground. Maybe could have converted a chance but a great performance from him I think!

Well they ruined my accumulator, cheers Villa! Seriously though, disappointed they couldn't win today to put a bit more pressure on the boys above. I really hope they can knock Arsenal off their perch and grab fourth by the end of the season.

No scapegoat on the pitch to substitute today. Formation didn't work with 2 wingers off form. Why-oh-why didn't he change it ?

Is that really the type of formation to put out at home against a, no offence Fulham, mid-table outfit? I can see it working with United and Arsenal as we needed to defend that little bit further up the pitch but with Fulham already defending quite deeply Gabby's pace is negated from the off. I think a telling statistic was that in the first 12 minutes, Fulham had 70 percent possession to our 30. I think that says it all about that formation to be honest.

Four attempts on target, nowhere near good enough. If you are going to operate with one central striker at home, you'd better make sure that you put away the few chances that are going to break your way, sadly GB and SS couldn't do that. Once again at Villa Park, we simply didn't do enough to win.

We've got to meddle through until the new year with the strikers we currently have available (seemingly only Gabby right now), then hopefully MON will be able to bring onboard a new proven finisher (or two). Someone to give us options and alternatives compared to what we currently have open to us.
