Next stage here we come, but we got very, very lucky tonight. We can't keep not turning up for 45 minutes.

Our best players were Salifou, Salifou, Salifou, Salifou and Guzan. Certainly Salifou deserves his place against Boro on Sunday. Phenomenal performance. Our first team front three were the ones who went absent (in the second 45)

Salifou played very well,a star was born in Guzan,Sidwell was outstanding.

Talk about a game of two halves again! Guzan played a blinder and Sidwell ran his socks off, but his magnetism for yellow cards concerns me a bit. So Solid Carew looked knackered when he went off and I really do think MON needs to splash the cash in January on a poacher. Gutted on Monday, but chuffed today - UTV!

you need a bit of luck in this competition.....take it all when it comes along !!!
lincolnblue
Guzan and Salifou were immense and Sidwell was great once he got into the game (which took a good 30mins) and I agree with what claretandbluestu with the poacher - unfortunatley the one I thought we would go for - Kevin Doyle - has just signed a contract extension. It is going to be very very difficult to get a good player in January.

Good away win.

Glasgow Rangers played for about 5mins per game last season and got to the final......therefore, we are playing 40mins too long! UTV
ULSTER VILLA
Impressive result, if not a particularly impressive performance. Set ourselves up very nicely to progress to the knockout stages, needing just a point from our final two group games.

The changes that MON made certainly worked. He was putting his head on the block, but the fringe players, for want of a better word, certainly came through.
