You don't know what you're doing - well the ref didn't anyway. Not the most thrilling match, but job done. Bring on injury ridden Chelsea.

Didn't see or hear the game unfortunately, but from what I gather it was easy, rather than poor. Anyone?
Carlosio
27,000 not bad for three home games on the bounce. More Importantly no players booked.

only mistake Cuellar made with the tackle for the pen is his touch on the ball didnt push it in a different direction to which the player was running so it looked like the attacker got the touch.. otherwise great tackle.. umps really having a problem atm with penalties...
aussie_villan
Wow salifou storming the MOTM - - How was he out there?
Villa-in-my-Blood
Headline on Sky Sports 'Villa survive Litex scare'....um, not really!
olafthegreat
skysports have also got the aggregate score as 5-3 ha ha ha, they can't count and they didnt watch the game, professional sky sports.
krisvilla
Difficult to see how there could have been a more comfortable win. The draw is Tuesday... Challenging times are ahead
Sindbad
Lol on the news, Nova Sports... They said Aston Villa lost but won on agg. Lmaoo
Blitz
wishfull thinking on the part of Skysports, soon as Villa get knocked out they can consentrate on Man Utd. Arsenal and Chelsea.... So bias its unbelievable.

So both Routlage and Milner got full games (at last) How did we look with two natural wingers?
Villan Of The North
Actually, looking at that line-up, we had three wingers on for most of the game, did Young play the free role then?
Villan Of The North
The team was a little disjointed In my opinion, Milner was on the left wing, Routledge on the right wing and Ashley Young floated in and around Harewood all night in a sort of free/support striker role. Milner didn't look comfortable at all to me, he tried as he does but it didn't suit him. Would rather have seen Milner as support striker/free role and Young back on the left as normal.

Petrov was superb again last night. I thought Milner and Young linked up well together. Apart from the goal, Harewood was well off the pace, the bloke just can't read the game. Salifou was poo. Cuellar's class is obvious, he will have no problem slipping into the premiership team when the time arises and I also thought the much maligned kat Knight had a good game.
jonah
isn't it weird how people see different games? I though Salifou was good, Petrov Brilliant, Cueller and Knight were crap? Harewood lively but just plain not good enough.
industrial_musical
Disappointing result for those supporters expecting an easy ride, but there were certainly plus points to be taken from the ninety minutes. It gets tougher from here, but at least we're now in the group stages, entering the 'real' meat of the competition. Some good teams out there, we'll be tested to the full.

Some good comments there Jonah. I too thought that Zat Knight had a very good game, certainly did his future chances no harm at all. Petrov once again was top drawer.
