Great 3 points for Villa, JC had the chance and very nearly put it out of sight in the first half but Villa have a resiliance about them that bodes very well for this season and the future!

6 yellow cards, but it was a pretty mild, watered down affair compared to the Villa vs Albion games I recall from my younger days.

The Baggies have got enough about them to stay up, but I bet they regret somewhat the decision not to keep kevin Phillips at The Hawthorns. They lack a striker, and poor Luke Moore, looked yet again, a somewhat sad and forlorn individual.
