Nice try Bennett, not even injury time from nowhere could help. What a game eh!

Delighted,Spurs just kept bringing on more and more attacking players they were bound to get caught. They need a player that is not glamorous,Ken Monkou?Carlton Palmer maybe?

Great performance from the boys tonight. I really enjoyed the way we moved the ball about at times. I thought Petrov was brilliant tonight. Shorey picked up well after a shaky start too. I think the only downside was when big JC went off - we struggled to keep hold of the ball up front. Let's hope it's not a serious injury. A great start to a big 9 days for Villa.

I'd love to see the look on lilleywhite101's face right now! That smug spud should realise that Spurs are a very very average side. UTV

Get in boys! I love Young outsanding tonight! Should have been a clean sheet if not for an unlucky deflection! Worried about Carew though without him we have to rely on Harewood and Agbonlahor :S Still up to 4th so I will be sleeping well tonight!
