Nice try Bennett, not even injury time from nowhere could help. What a game eh!

Another thriller from the Villa, I dont think we will be playing Spudz next season the way things look at the moment, Ramos make Jolly Fat Bloke look like a genius.... Should keep Brownie happy :-)

Brilliant performance! Was cacking it at the end, but we got what we deserved. Fantastic, I'm buzzing! Hope big John's ok. I bloody hate spurs...
olafthegreat
yeeees! yeeeeeees! Yes!!! YYYYYEESSSSSSS!!! YES!!! YEYYYYYYYSSSS!!!!!
simonbigron
we r pants, complete pants, you may be right and spurs could find themselves in a relegation battle. Tho i cant see why or whats wrong I think ramos should go.. whos with me! get rid of balding useless greedy levy too!
silent_but_ledley
Delighted,Spurs just kept bringing on more and more attacking players they were bound to get caught. They need a player that is not glamorous,Ken Monkou?Carlton Palmer maybe?
Pking
Great performance from the boys tonight. I really enjoyed the way we moved the ball about at times. I thought Petrov was brilliant tonight. Shorey picked up well after a shaky start too. I think the only downside was when big JC went off - we struggled to keep hold of the ball up front. Let's hope it's not a serious injury. A great start to a big 9 days for Villa.
melski
I'd love to see the look on lilleywhite101's face right now! That smug spud should realise that Spurs are a very very average side. UTV
olafthegreat
Get in boys! I love Young outsanding tonight! Should have been a clean sheet if not for an unlucky deflection! Worried about Carew though without him we have to rely on Harewood and Agbonlahor :S Still up to 4th so I will be sleeping well tonight!
Tez86
great result!!!! Come on you lions!!! The defence looked much better tonight. Suprised not to see Milner start though... big week ahead though UTV!!!
Bobby Norman
Great result Petrov was great for the first half hour and Barry was outstanding, all the lads played well. UTV
chris the villan
Brilliant performance and wonderful result! Even if under pressure for most of the second half, I think we defended well and truly deserve this win! 4th in the table and looking forward an exciting 10 days! Where has OneAaronLennon gone, btw? :p
delirium
F**KIN GET IN! Spurs r *****e. Knew we'd have em. We deserved that win tonight. DAvis and laursen solid again. Midfield quality. NEED A TOP STRIKER. Get well soon big john
medzy
I agree with you on Petrov, is it the same as last season? lol. Also, with all respect due to our bearded legend Olof, Luke Young is proving to be a good replacement, IMO. Quality performance tonight! Oh, and what a great away support we have, completely outsung the Yids!
delirium
Great win Petrov and Davis were outstanding and we kept spurs quit all night apart from a ******y goal.Hope Carew's allright but this will keep a smile on my face still Thursday.
Mr A Villa
Great result and well deserved too.Petrov was excellent as was Barry. On the minus side we look very poor at keeping the ball without big JC and how bad was the Hare's miss at the end????
happyvillan
Very very impressive passing from the Villans today. I couldn't stop shaking after we won the game. Exhausting those last 10 minutes were! Tears from my eyes- UTV.
los_angeles_villan
superb stuff, fantastic win, i think the only disservice or two in the game was; added time, ******** Bennett had a reasonable game thought; their goal, very unlucky but great defence; and that we only got 2 goals could've had another 3 at least, great keeping on two first half, great defending for Harewoods attempt. A more accomplished striker would've taken a touch and placed it, but i prefer to give the defender credit. Overall some breathtaking stuff from the Mighty Lions UTV
Jongekki
More than happy with that, looking forward to Glensiders away report. Also looking forward to a meeting later this week, two of them are Spurs fans!!! :o) Thought the team played excellently, all we are missing now is a top striker to give us options. Still wonder why we didn't go for Defoe, but hey, I'm not the manager! Hopefully JC's injury isn't a bad one as we are low on options there. Milner up front maybe?
The Fear
Fear - you took the words right out of my mouth. I want Defoe badly, he's really come on lately, just like I knew he would when he left.
los_angeles_villan
LOL at the money they pay to have a **** team. A big LOL. Happy for Nige think he deserved the goal after his liverpoo performance
AussieVilla
good result against the spurs. their boy gio looked good. they really put us under pressure in the 2nd half when he came on.
fullygrownman
Well done boys. We got what we deserved. Go on and take 4th from those dirty scouse *****ts while youre at it. Good luck the rest of the way. Yiddos
WhiteHartSpur
Excellent stuff, the way Man Utd are playing I just can't see them catching the new Big Four!!!
Silver Fox
Glad to see a couple of Spuds fans congratulating us, cause we all know this comments section would be awash with them had they won last night.
young_jonah
As for the result, it proves we have come on, the first win in London for 4 years? We are back boys, now lets do the baggies!! Petrov was immense, Gabby, NRC and Young all looked good and Davies was solid, mark my words Davies is a future England captain!!!
young_jonah
Defence -sorted me thinks. Shorey getting better every game. Petrov has finally found his feet. Probably glad Shaun went and stopped depressing him. How about THAT backheel for NRC goal?!?!?! WOW. MONs defensive buys truly proving we didn't need overrated Hoyte. Would have like Silvester though. ;-)
koolbill
I think I can safely say Barry is worth every penny of that 18M valuation! He was outstanding! what I would give for him to play for Spurs! If you lot sell him to Liverpool you will never finish above them! As for Spurs I think we despratly need to gel- theirs no denying our squads talent but the difference on the night, Villa where more ballenced and orginised, we was like 11 strangers trying to compete with that! Credit due tho you played well and deserved it.
DazzaTHFC
Davies, Barry and Ashley Young were all absolutely immense last night, and I was more than happy with the performances of Luke Young and Mr.Petrov to boot. Totally outplayed them in the first half...looking good at the moment.
Mayo_12
I thought Young was unplayable!!!
young_jonah
Thanks WhiteHartSpur, would be so nice to take 4th but I do fear we needed a top striker bought this summer if we were going to be able to sustain that sort of challenge.
The Fear
Mr fear,There is always the jan window for a striker,Now that we have the other positions sorted we can put all our effort into getting a top striker in jan.
lerneravfc
I spent a terrific evening at White Hart Lane. The boys did us proud. It was really funny too, because the Spurs lot were all singing "4-1 and you fcked it up, 4-1.....", right at the moment we scored. Next thing, up pipe the Villa legendary fans with "0-0 and you fcked it up, 0-0.." hahaha what an ace night to see the Villa. We were awesome. Hope big JC is going to be ok!
evoflash
'Mr Fear' ? What has my dad got to do with this?!?! LOL. Yes, agree, we have January however Jan transfer window is very difficult to get top players as most teams hold on to them until the end of the season. Hey ho, we'll see!
The Fear
I bet we buy Doyle, you know he was itching to say it was the Villa deal that never materialised when he was interviewed on SSN.....he's scored two hattricks now.....any takers?
koolbill
Top notch Villa performance, every player contributed. Hard to pick out 'stars', but Curtis Davies, NRC, and Stan the Man were truly top drawer. Barry too, back at his very best.
glensider
Great Villa following. Sold out our section completely. Not bad for a Monday night game, away from home. Proud to have been there, made up for the disappointment of last season.
