Good solid start if a bit sloppy at the end to concede the second goal.Thought the back four were good like L Young and Storey look steady and Friedle is everything we didn't have last year.Ash terrorised them and great to see Gabby with his hat-trick.All in all a very good start keep it up Mon!.

Lets hope it is a case of "starting as you mean to go on" regarding the result! Really pleased with the result! I was screaming like crazy listening to the match when the goals went in!

Different type of game next up on the agenda. A physical opponent, playing up and at 'em football. Plenty of high balls for our defence to cope with. Good kick-off today though. Still work to do, but at least MOn has a decent base on which to build.

Gabby will get the headlines, but I thought that Petrov was superb. No substitutions, first game too. That was a surprise.

Petrov did play well hopefully he can keep it up and the defence will get better the more they play together, I'd like to see Routledge get a game as having two flying winger would scare the bejesus out of the opposition.

Great result, terrific display by the lads. Couldn't pick a fault with any player, they all played great.
DO'L
10 on target, if we could only prevent the opposition getting so many chances we will be unbeatable this season.
