Suppose we do 'ok' today.........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a turnaround, superb game, rocking atmosphere (throughout) and a great great great result.

Woeful 1st half really, Petrov what is the point? Even MON saw it this time. So he gives em a good bollocking at half time changes things around. I said to my bro that Newcastle will collapse once Villa get a goal, and that happened spectaclarly. If I were a newcastle fan and 2-1 down surely bring on Viduka? There is only one Kevin Keegan! You got defensive issues so they employ Kevin Keegan. Any way well done the Villa great second half and Marlon Harewood is impressing me everytime he comes on, Gardner did well too, smallest squad but it's working. Quality not quantity (exclude Petrov,Carson) Reo Coker did well too this game.

Isiah Osbourne for man of the match again? Hehe. Also, I though Carson had a great game today. I know, no clean sheet again, but he did well claiming and clearing the ball from crosses, and really couldn't do much about the goal. I would also defend Nigel today, think he did well, aside from a couple of errors giving the ball away.

I thought to myself at half-time, i bet avfc48 is loving this. MON's villa losing on the tv. I imagined him writing another gloomy "MON is rubbish" article whilst the match was going. Then the second half arrived and it was a different story altogether. I bet we don't hear from avfc48 this weekend. I've defended Petrov time and time again, but he is lacking at the moment no doubt. He is a weak link in our side, and at times a liability. Harewood played incredibly well when he came on, my hat goes off to him for his patience, his obvious desire to play and for taking his chances. But lets face it, today is Carew's day, and he deserves the plaudits. Great second half performance from the villa.
The Usual Suspect
Harewood - yes I think MON has the last laugh with that buy. Now,what about Routledge? Clearly Young is a marked man, but what would the bar codes have done if there had been a fast player on the other side? Just 4 goals? No way. Gardener also played well with 2 cracking shots and gave more movement on the right. By the way, no-one has mentioned the obvious penalty in the first half. Barton should have been booked too.

Poor first half, exellent second half credit to MON for the changes at half time. Thought Coker had a good game did not get caught in possesion so much today, Davis and Laursen were solid at the back and Carews on fire. Credit also to Gardner and Harewood, Gardner had two good efforts on goal and I Harewood had an good game and he is a 100% player for Villa

GAmes like this really show how good a manager MON is , absolute quality man motivator and changed tactics as Young was man marked by two bar codes. Put Maloney on left young on right Harewood to scare the ***** outta the fragile defence

Since everyone was voting for the 'real' MOM I just voted for Marlon, again. Given the extreme ****e he has taken from a good many Villa fans since he came to B6, the man has real guts. Does anyone see what MON saw in him now?

yep definitley Bob the Builder, Marlon has showed a good few fans up me included, I wasnt so sure but i'd rather have him over an expensive 'don't care' foreigner! 100% work effort from Marlon !

Great performance and in the first half I thoght NRC kept us in it when twice Melberg and Petrov contirved to give Newcastle an opportunity only for NRC to track back and clear up. Second half they all played fantastic and the atmosphere was superb. Just shows Newcastle what you can do if you don't change your manager every few months and support your team instead.

Carew gets 3 goals and fantastic to see a hat trick but without a shadow of a doubt MOM was Reo Coker. I am usually critical of him but at half time he was the only Villa player with any credit and throughout the second half again he did all the donkey work which does not go recognised, but without it we would not have won. Great performance UTV

You have to worry that teams will be sniffing round Gardner in the summer. He was way better tha the Bulgarian Crab.

it sounds funny but carew had a nightmare if it wasn't for the 3 goals that he scored. Reo coker had a great game and o though maloney caused problems all day, but he is definately not a forward

Marlon's heart and desire are as big as his forehead. Quality and proving everyone wrong. Also did I see Coker put a couple of connecting passes in????

Harewood was certainly the catalyst for the turnaround. Fair play to the lad. i've given him some stick but he has shut me up with his performances of late.

Cant go overboard because Newcastle truly are woeful, one of the poorest sides to visit B6 all season I thought, if not the poorest. Even Derby seemed to have more shape and staying power. Very good second half though, certainly wasn't expecting that after the dire opening forty five.
