Clearly Wigan won the fouls count but in every other dept Villa showed their away form is no fluke. So nice to see MON keeping the team on the pitch instead of making pointless sub's. 18,806 with 5000 travelling with the Villa makes you wonder how Wigan make ends meet, maybe they dont bother with a groundsman!!

Great result! Lets get to the magic 40 points and then push on for Europe! Still think the squad needs more strength in depth. Hoyte, Gudjohson, Defoe and Crouch please!

phew...thank god we won the game. ashley and gabby are awesome nearly every week its bloody marvelous! and we shouldnt be looking at the magic 40pts mark, were lookin for 60-odd. just hope carew isn't out for long!

Considering we had to change things when we lost JC and went a goal behind, shows how far we have come. Nice to see Curtis score. However with just 6 points from the last 6 games inc today we really did need to win this one.

InMON we trust, you want us to buy three more strikers in january? I don't think that's really what we need right now. Good result for the villa though, even if we've had a few iffy results, you can't deny that for the most part the performances have been there. I only watched on SSN though, so i'll have to watch it in full later. The attendance looked shocking.

Three deserved points won in atrocious conditions, and on an atrocious pitch. The injury to Big JC is a concern. Thought Curtis improved as the game went on, and looked pretty impressive second forty-five. Ash's quietest game for a long time, then he sets up Gabby's winner with some wing wizardry. Come On You Mighty Lions?
