We deserved all 3 points, Zat should never have been sent off. I am glad we had the penalty, and Carvellho could have broken Gabi's leg with the challenge..disgrace. After a rocky start Curtis Davies started to look very good. At least we had a little bit of luck with the penalty, we certainly deserved it. The referee was an absolute disgrace and should be dropped from premier league games.

Just got home, and I´m still baffled here....what...the.....hell...happend ??
Blue is the colour
what happened i dont know. i thought surely we have all three point. ksarge you thinking you deserve all three point. i dont know if you were watching the same game i was. anyway good game villa
kaybee
Kaybee, I have just watched the whole game - Chelsea were filthy disgrace Ballack should have been sent off after a minute on the pitch after diliberately elbowing Barry in the face. Both Cole's diving around like they are owed something. The game hinged on a completely disgraceful refereeing performance, Zat stays on the pitch, we absolutely domintated you - even when we had 10 men - Chelsea had about a 15 minute spell in all the second half, half of the Chelsea team did not look interested - Ballack should have Video evidence used against him too.
KSarge1
I listened to it on the radio and it was fantastic,I'd like to see what happened before I say we were robbed but it sounded like we were. The team deserve enormous credit, delighted that Curtis finally got some action and Maloney stepping up now.The fans sounded terrific on the radio aswell.Something needs to be done about the ref at this stage,he cheated Blackburn against us,and Robbie Keane against Birmingham, today turned into a bit of a farce.

what a match! Referee absolutely appauling, have they been told to red card every challenge? SToopid zat knight for being so clumsy, hopefully davies will get a run in the team now. Just a great effort by villa, worked hard and never gave up, I feared the worse but bloody great, need a lie down now

what a game - only got to hear the commentary but nearly crashed when we got the pen to equalise. can't wait to see the highlights of this one!
The Fear
I was driving back from my Parents and did not get in the car until 3.10pm, switched on the radio and had to wait until 3.35 before I got the score on 5 live, started with Chelsea 4 and I thought oh ***** we got a drubbing, nearly went across 3 lanes of the M4 when I heard we got 4, will have a good look at Football firts tonight
fatloser
Petrov not in the squad. Rested or injured?
The Fear
I noticed that at the start, Mr Fear. I'd imagine he was rested, based on recent form he can't have been dropped.

I watched the game and we were brilliant. More than deserved the point. The penalty and subsequent sending off changed the game as we were cruising at 0-2 with 45 mins on the clock. Petrov was apparently sick. Too many mince pies? Great performance though. Certainly an entertaining game. Thought we were going to come away with nothing at 3-2. Well done lads.
Adam Deuce
Well I did not see a moment but having read independent match reports, we "we woz robbed" That said, if you'd have told me before the game that we would come away with a point after putting 4 past one of the most miserly defences in the country I'd have ripped your arm off. Well done lads and well done Martin.
Villain Of The North
Very proud to be a Villa fan tonight. Well done lads.l

Whar a game. Funny though, on Vital Chelsea it says we had 75% possession, on here it says 55%.
Adilson
BBC site and premium tv say 55 / 45 % for possession. No chance would you have had 75% !
The Fear
% stats, as displayed on Sky Sports - or have my eyes let me down again) probably don’t tell the whole story. You were content to let us keep possession in deep areas and we were toothless, most of the time, to hurt you in the danger areas. So much for us breaking at pace and hurting teams with Grant’s new sexy footy!
merlin
Merlin you're a gent...i also think you might be a closet Villa fan ;-)
reza
Daylight Robbery at Christmas as well. All Chelsea fans should be ashamed of saying otherwise( and for paying the ref.)Champions League, You are having a laugh.
Villan444
Best chant of the day, 'Fatty, Fatty, whats the score'. It was a pleasure to see that rather robust Chelsea fans face as we made it 3-3 and then 4-4. Ballacks dive to earn the penalty at the end of first half stoppage time was the turning point. It gave them a lifeline back into the game, a lifeline they didn't deserve. Great stuff Villa. That's four points off them this season, that'll do for me.
