what a good honest bunch of lads. hope Gabbys ok, he look in pain

Cracking goal from Young. I thought Barry was man of the match, yet another excellent performance. I hope we can keep up this good run and take Arsenal on Saturday!

Have to say it, top result boys. fair play
pentonpompey
7 shots, all on target. Much more like it, we are finishing our chances and keeping clean sheets as well.

It's also worth pointing out that only Arsenal and Everton have scored more goals than us this season. I thought we would struggle in this department - I suppose we have to admit "Martin Knows". Fantastic win.
CLVilla
Back where we belong, definitely top 6 quality, and definitely in the race for a UEFA Cup qualification! Well done boys, well done MON, now let's have a go at Arsenal!! Brilliant result :)
delirium
Unbelievable result,Blackburn can say they were quite hard done by but I'll take it.

Also from what I saw Petrov was very good.

Just watched the extended highlights on Sky. Good to see Petrov finally showing why MON paid so much for him. Great support from the travelling Claret and Blue Army. SO happy I bought a half season ticket on Monday. well done lads. Lets keep the ball rolling on Saturday.

Great win, game looked pretty even but we got the goal and could have had another before half time. Definite penalty but harsh sending off. Good finish from Young and nice to see Harewood score. Barry was outstanding again. Big test on Saturday, I would have taken two points from Blackburn away and Arsenal at home but now we must go for that win. UTV

fcking hell lads, that is one impressive result... and maloney, salifou, davies, berger all still in reserve... oh, and i was very happy for marlon getting that goal!
simonbigron

Sounds like Carson kept us in it for the first half an hour! Makes him MOTM for me as the game could have already been beyond us by the time Carew scored. 2 clean sheets in 2 since his England gaff! Top man!

20,700 with Blackburn doing really well in the Permiership must have been disapointing for Mark Hughes and the club. I hope its means in the long run Villa's gates of 38,000 upwards will make a difference when we come to buying new players.

I have been one of the biggest doubters about our goal scoring potential, often questioning, 'But where are the goals going to come from'? Must admit I have been proved very wrong. We always look capable of scoring, even when we've been under the cosh for long periods.
glensider
Yes, certainly not alone their glensider, I couldn't see any of our strikers being able to get 15 or more this season, now I think Gabby and JC could both do just that. And I think Anelka when he comes in Jan will also get loads.... WHAT? I can dream can't I?
The Fear
"And I think Anelka when he comes in Jan will also get loads...." Lol - you really love that guy, eh JPF? :o)
BobTheBuilder
We can wish, hope, and dream. Anelka would really be a huge addition. I'd break the bank for him, but sadly I'm not MON or RL.
