We didn't cope well with there 352 system. Ossie and McCann had stinkers but I couldn't see Boro scoring. MON thought both goals were dodgy. It now appears the Boro goal was offside but if you look at The Boro keeper he didn't complain much! Second half much better and we were unlucky. Davis was far better than Ossie and is due a start on Wednesday. Thought Bouma, Petrov and Barry were superb at times doen the left. McCann got bullied by Boeteng today which is a concern. Let's hope it's a one off. UTV

Petrov "earning" a penalty! Different club, different league but some things just don't change...!

Malcolm Christie - first goal in two years, two years dogged by injury - I bet he was well chuffed.

But there's no way GB was man of the match - he was good, but there were better players. Wilfred Bouma and Ollie Mellberg for two! Ollie was superb! Never seen him go forward like that before. The penalty was definate, their goal miles offside! ANd what were two of our goals disallowed for??? Anyway not a bad result and we're still nearer the top than the bottom - so can't have too many complaints!

just can't see why we'd play 4-5-1 at home, still, MON knows full well there are new players needed, a striker and a midfielder are certs, worried about Petrov though, following a great debut his contribution seems to get less and less by the game.

We're definitely lacking up front, dominating games yet just not capable of seeing teams off. Disappointed, but not surprised at the 33,000 (just) attendance. Where are the stay-aways? Why are they staying away?

Fear - I didn't understand why we went 451. The game was crying out for more support to Angel. Perhaps he wanted to match Boro but we should be imposing ourselves on the game. Definately a better second half. As for Petrov you could see with his link up play with Bouma and Barry that given good players around him he can do the bizz. A bit frustrating but we had 2 headers I thought were in and Baros had a shot just wide. No atmosphere though which is a shame. A must win on Wednesday to keep up the good work.

Thought Baros or Gabby should have partnered Angel up front from the start and couldnt understand the need to play 2 defensive midfielders in mccann and osbourne. It just seemed a very defence minded team to start with at home..! I know Osbourne is only a young kid still learning the game but i think he has been poor the last few games and would prefer to see Davis or Hendrie recalled from Stoke.
