Great result, awful crowd. Newcastle in the doldrums booing team off the pitch but still over 50 000 there, what a shame.
The Fear
Oh and Man City awful season, still over 40 000 a game.

Perhaps it's that we are "fickle" (copyright D'OL) ;oD
Villain Of The North
Man City were kept in business by their huge crowds in what is now League One. It is something that needs to be addressed.

Iffy penalty, looked harsh, but I havent seen any t.v. replay so just going on my initial view of the incident. Deserved to win, no question, but agree, extremely disappointing attendance, not that I particularly expected too many more. Why is there so much apathy amongst the supporters?
glensider
shame about the apathy, looks like some will only return when we start getting success, not a good way to support a team really? Not talking about those that can't get to the game or can't afford it by the way.
The Fear
greatly attneded game and a great scoreline to match the good attendance, well done the villa in those 2 departments
red_chattey
shame about the attendance, could give all the excuses, sunday, time blah blah, but the fact is if you support your team you make the effort. I closed my business for the day and did a four hundred mile round trip to watch my team, just a shame it goes so fast when your watching, but worth it all the same, blackburn didnt seem to be at the races, was sat in j5 holte end with one of my boys, nicely packed like sardines, but space elsewhere, (change the name of THAT stand and people may want to sit there) thought we played well, Gabby a constant threat, Angel quick witted enough to pounce on a mistake, and what a pleasure to see McCann back, the holte was in fine voice as always, but we cant support on our own, so all you stay aways, or big match goers, you missed a good one yesterday, and its not only your loss, its the teams loss and the rest of the faithfulls loss, we want to hear you sing, we want a wall of sound, we want fortress Villa. Hopefully the attendances pick up as the season progresses. Very disappointing so far, but all the bigger clubs still have to visit B6.
