1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?

From the moment I was born in 1964. I don't remember ant discussion about who to support at all it was just expected really . My Dad just took me to my first game when I was 4 in 1968.

2) What is your favourite Villa moment of all time/most treasured memory?

Well winning the league and European cup were obviously unbelievable but I think seeing us win the first trophy my lifetime in 1975 and going to Wembley for the first time was for an 11 year old lad just incredible.

3) If you could bring back a former Villa player into this team (at his peak) who would it be and why?

It's a no brainer . Sir Dennis Mortimer . How we could do with him in midfield now given our weakness in that department. Just a fantastic player and the complete midfielder. He never ever had a bad game and I will say it again that it is a national disgrace that he never played for England.

4) Steve Bruce? Your opinion please?

I am on his side. I trust his record and experience but we have to hit the ground running this season.

5) Best and worst moments of last season?

Worst was Preston away . Dreadful , dreadful performance and the moment when the last dregs of my optimism finally drained away. The best would be beating Small Heath I suppose , but I do enjoy it when we win away There is something really satisfying about turning over the enemy on their own patch

6) Your opinion of Doctor Tony Xia and our CEO Keith Wyness?

I like the Dr's enthusiasm and am excited about the plans he has for global domination . Wyness has been around the block and is just the kind of experienced football man we need running the show.

7) What do you think we need most in the transfer window?

A goalkeeper , a centre half and a wizard No.10 who can produce the unexpected.

8) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?

I have no patience for those that seem happy to take the money for minimal effort , so Richards , Agbonlahor , McCormack , plus all last seasons loanees would do for starters.

9) Favourite and least favourite current player? (Explanation if you wish)

Favourite is hard but I will go for Jedinak. Least favourite is harder unfortunately but Agbonlahor shades it.

10) Who was your first footballing hero and who are your favourite all time player/s?

I loved Andy Lochead and Bruce Rioch from the early days . I have a long list of favourite players headed by the great Sir Dennis , then in no order Andy Gray (first time) Alex Cropley , Brian Little , Sid , Allan Evans , God , James Milner and Chico Hamilton

11) What do you expect us to do/finish this season coming?

Promotion. Nothing else will do.

12) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?

What is it that makes me completely obsessed about them. It must be the history , tradition and the stadium . I still get goosebumps when I see the ground.

Just to change the theme slightly, a snap shot of you outside of football, answer or ignore at your leisure:

a) Which celebrity/s would you most like to meet and why?

Well I have met the worlds greatest ever batsman (Sir Viv Richards) so I would like to meet the worlds greatest footballer (Sir Dennis Mortimer)

b) Age 53
c) Location: Shirley
d) Favourite alcoholic drink: Wine
e) Favourite non-alcoholic drink: Tea
f) Favourite Film/s: Don't really watch films but Papillon was great and I like the James Bond films
g) Favourite TV Show/s: Non sports programmes would be Peaky Blinders , Car Share and HIGNFY.
h) Music?: U2 , AC/DC , Foo Fighters , Oasis ,
i) Best ever moment in your life: When the kids were born
j) Ambitions: To see Villa win the F.A.Cup . The only trophy I haven't seen us win.
k) Wise words: If you fail to prepare , prepare to fail.

So close to meeting Dennis mate, such a shame, as you know I'd arranged for him to join us at that VMF night only for him to get stuck on the motorway.

Dennis was the Complete midfielder who could do it all. 20 years ahead of his time. Broke up the play, drove forward, scored goals and exceptional leadership.
