Vital Villa Interviews 2012: Charizma

Vital Villa Interviews 2012: Charizma
Charizma is next for the Vital Villa interview.

1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?

It was somewhere in my youth probably about 12-13 (1974) years old my Dad had taken me and my Sister to a Blouse/Leeds game as my Mum was a Leeds fan a couple of years earlier. I was hooked on football matches from then but the Blouse just didn`t do it for me. I used to go watch Moor Green, my local team, but I went to the home of Midlands football a few weeks later with a bunch of mates and never looked back since. Standing toward the top in the Holte End was a whole new and exciting experience in life.

2) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?

I am pleased with the appointment, I don`t kid myself that we could have enticed AVB here, I didn`t want Martinez but Rodgers would`ve been first choice for me. Paul Lambert will do nicely though, he is already coming out with the right sound bites and they seem to fit. McLoser tried and failed to convince before we had even kicked off.

3) Best and worst moments of last season?

Best would have to be the sacking of McLeish, the low point would be for poor Stan and not just for the team, we lost a driving force we could ill do without in midfield, but for him and his family too.

4) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board, can a decent season next season make up for last season?

Yes it can, I know there are a lot of varied opinions flying around but, he didn`t appoint MON who wasted his large investment in the club. He was culpable for McLeish and what a mistake that was. He appointed GH but I thought that was a good move (foot in mouth aside). He has also invested heavily in the club infrastructure.

5) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?

Not sure TBH, if I were that good I`d be a scout and probably earning more than I do now. Ronaldo? Messi?

6) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?

For the really poor service provided and their constant backroom bickering and dissent I`d relieve Dunne and Collins, Hutton would be on the move too. Probably Bannan too, he hasn`t performed to expectation whilst on the pitch and off the pitch he has not behaved appropriately either.

7) Favourite current player?

Given, Weinmann and probably Herd.

8) Favourite all time player/s?

Sid, God, Little, Mortimer, Graydon, Rimmer, Bosnich, Yorke, Evans, McNaught, quite liked Angel too.

9) What do you expect us to do/finish this season assuming a decent transfer window with £25m or so spent?

Premier Top Eight
FA Cup: Fifth round
Carling: Semi

10) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?

What on earth did you see in McLeish? Nothing really but a stop gap whilst we arrested the flow of money in player wages.

11) Just to change the theme slightly, a snap shot of you outside of football, answer or ignore at your leisure:
(based on our WHO ARE YOU thread!!!)

a) Which celebrity/s would you most like to meet and why? Jennifer Anniston, Kyle Minogue for obvious reasons.

b) Age 49

c) Location: Yeovil, Somerset

d) Favourite alcoholic drink: Marstons Pedigree

e) Favourite non-alcoholic drink: Ground Coffee

f) Favourite Film/s: Bourne Trilogy, StarWars Saga

g) Favourite TV Show/s: MotD, The Mentalist, NCSI

h) Music?: Classical through to Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed, but mainly Rush, AC/DC and Sabbath

i) Best ever moment in your life: Best ever moment in your life: Firstborn then the rest!

j) Ambitions: Retire, win the lottery (not in that order) and to witness Villa lift the Premier League Champions cup.

k) Wise words: Sometimes it's more important to be human, than to have good taste. No gain without pain.

It can't be a coincidence that 95% of interviewees have all said to get rid of Mutton, Collins Dunne....Warnock.... there's a clear message.
