Vital Villa Interviews 2012: Villanut
Villanut is next for the Vital Villa interview.

1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?

Approx 1980 my Aunties boyfriend wrapped a Villa scarf round me (i was a kid, about 9) and ever since loved the Villa.

2) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?

Excellent! If we can give him time to build the team I'm sure he will get us back up there challenging whilst playing decent football but we must be patient.

3) Best and worst moments of last season?

Worst when we were so poor at home, the game v Swansea sticks out for me, 1 shot at goal. The best was when we sacked McLeish.

4) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board, can a decent season next season make up for last season?

Randy is superb, and loves Villa. I don't know what he was playing at in appointing McLeish, but he has had it hard since taking over especially when O'Neill left us in the lurch when he walked. I genuinely believe he wants big success at Villa and he's already made up for his mistake by sacking McLeish.

5) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?

I would love Villa to go for Adam Johnson, Hagaland (Fulham), Kyle Naughton, Domineco Criscito (Zenit), James Milner, Reo-coker,Yakubu. We have already missed out on Krankjaer and Diame I would have liked them

6) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?

Dunne, Hutton, Warnock, Ireland, Delfounso.

7) Favourite current player?

Gabby - a local lad who's Villa through and through. Ok not the best of strikers but I believe he can get better and has qualities.

8) Favourite all time player/s?

Dennis Mortimer, Peter Withe, Paul Mcgrath, Martin Laursen, Dalian Atkinson, Dean Saunders, Olaf Mellberg, Dion Dublin.

9) What do you expect us to do/finish this season assuming a decent transfer window with 25m or so spent?

Premier 8th
FA Cup: Quarters
Carling: Semi final

10) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?

Will Villa be ambitious enough to win the Premiership title in my lifetime (I am 40)? My answer is no because of the likes of Man City and Chelsea dominating the transfer market.

11) Just to change the theme slightly, a snap shot of you outside of football, answer or ignore at your leisure:
(based on our WHO ARE YOU thread!!!)

a) Which celebrity/s would you most like to meet and why? Prince William, Tom Hanks. Ask them about the Villa!

b) Age 40

c) Location: Shard End, Birmingham

d) Favourite alcoholic drink: Port! John Smiths bitter, Ginger ale

e) Favourite non-alcoholic drink: Milk

f) Favourite Film/s: Schindler's list, Salems Lot, Laurel and Hardy!

g) Favourite TV Show/s: Documentaries

h) Music?: Dance, club. love songs

i) Best ever moment in your life: Birth of my 2 children

j) Ambitions: Own my own gym, live by the coast either Blackpool or Cornwall, see the Villa win the FA Cup

k) Wise words: You can choose your friends but not your family!
