Gabby2010 is next for the Vital Villa interview.

1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?

I became a Villa fan from birth. My dad is from Erdington and uncle cousin etc all villa fans! To be honest at one stage I toyed with Liverpool when I started to have my own mind but reverted to villa. Thank Paul McGrath!

2) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?

Yes he was a good option considering we don't have a lot to attract big names. Lambert has the world at his feet, but realistically only one season in the Prem isn't enough to be a guaranteed success. Saying that fully support the fact he will try and play football the right way! Fingers crossed. It can't be any worse. Can it....

3) Best and worst moments of last season?

Best moment ...erm we beat Norwich at home! Worst moment..every single weekend expecting things to click...then seeing that we had let in another last minute goal.

4) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board, can a decent season next season make up for last season?

Randy is a good guy of that I am convinced. Just don't think he is the financial powerhouse needed to compete in the current climate. However, If financial FairPlay actually is enforced. We might see a turn of fortunes, but see it being as corrupt as Blatter and his cronies. Don't hold any negativity towards Randy so this season won't change my mind!

5) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?

Victor Moses would be a good shout...but like most would like 2 new centre backs, and a midfield enforcer. Not sure who though. Strong no nonsense African type ala Essien would be nice!

6) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?

Surely easier to say who should we keep lol. Get rid of Warnock, Hutton, Dunne, for starters. Then N`Zogbia, and Ireland if not doing business up til Xmas

7) Favourite current player?

Darren Bent...does what he says on the tin. Scores goals, and that is all I want a striker to do!

8) Favourite all time player/s?

Paul McGrath...(obvious choice) first name I had on my lush green red and black MULLER kit. Ian Taylor, and Townsend as well.

9) What do you expect us to do/finish this season assuming a decent transfer window with £25m or so spent?

Premier: 8th
FA Cup: quarter final
Carling: semis

10) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?

What was the first premier league match you ever went to see? Coventry v Spurs! Dads mate was a Cov fan and tried to sign me up? I obviously refused but in those days you could be pitch side when they warmed up. I passed a ball from sidelines to gazza!! Villa wise under big Ron I saw us lose to arsenal courtesy of a last minute Ian wright strike! Last minute goals seem to be a long term disease down at villa! Lol
