Vital Villa Interviews 2012: Englishhippy
Englishhippy is next for the Vital Villa interview.

1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?

I moved to Birmingham when I was 8 in 1981 just after Villa won the league most of my school mates where Villa fans, My first game was not until 1987 in the old Div 2 it was a midweek game home to Palace Mark Walters got a hat trick I stood on the left side of the Holte and lost one of my trainers it flew off celebrating a goal.

2) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?

Very happy with his appointment it may be seen as gamble being a relatively young manager with only one year of premiership football but happy overall he comes across very well and doesn`t look like he will take any crap from his players. I am pleased we have gone down this route rather that would is considered as a safer proven managers as most on the list would not have seen the backing from the fans as to what Lambert has received so far.

3) Best and worst moments of last season?

Best - dismissal McLeish hands down I am trying to erase the memory of last season as there really wasn`t many positives.

Worst - Stiliyan Petrov's illness came as a shock to us all. And looking at the table with 4 games to go and thinking where is the win going to come from and we will be having to rely on other results.

4) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board, can a decent season next season make up for last season?

Randy Lerner came under a lot of unfair criticism last year mostly out of pure frustration on the McLeish appointment. That`s fixed now and the calls for his head look to have gone.

5) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?

Defenders please and a defending midfielder

6) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?

Hutton, Collins, Dunne, all very poor last season and wouldn`t be missed. Delfouneso hasn`t never proved himself even when out on load and possibly Delph.

7) Favourite current player?

Clark, Petrov

8) Favourite all time player/s?

Mark Walters, David Platt, Alan McInally, Paul Mcgrath, Shaun Teale, Dalian Atkinson, Paul Merson, Mark Delaney, Kevin Richardson, Martin Laursen
Olaf Mellberg.

9) What do you expect us to do/finish this season assuming a decent transfer window with 25m or so spent?

Premier 10th
FA Cup: 5th round
Carling: semi final

10) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?

I would like to know what was said to make Dion Dublin drop the nut on Robbie Savage

11) Just to change the theme slightly, a snap shot of you outside of football, answer or ignore at your leisure:
(based on our WHO ARE YOU thread!!!)

a) Which celebrity/s would you most like to meet and why? David Byrne, Mick Jones, two of my favourite musicians and Jennifer Aniston just because she is on my list of things to do.

Lambert certainly seems to have got a great reception from most in these interviews, so much different to last seasons responses to he who shall not be named!
