Vital Villa Interviews 2012: Deanovilla

Vital Villa Interviews 2012: Deanovilla
Deanovilla is next for the Vital Villa interview.

1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?

From birth I guess. Dad is a Villa fan so there was never really much choice.

2) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?

Good, steady appointment. Not got me as excited as some fans seem to be, I quite fancied a bit of a riskier gamble just to bring some excitement back to the club, but Lambert is a sensible appointment.

3) Best and worst moments of last season?

Worst - The whole season
Best - When McLeish got fired.

4) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board, can a decent season next season make up for last season?

I've lost a lot of faith in the board. Appointing McLeish was just crazy nuts, and kind of gets me wondering what other crazy things they are capable of. But fans are fickle so of course a decent season and a couple of big signings and all will be forgiven.

5) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?

We need a brand new back 4, but not sure who off the top of my head... I'll leave that to Lambert and his scouts.

6) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?

Warnock, Dunne, Collins, Hutton, Bannan, Ireland, N'Zogbia, Makoun, Delfouneso. I think it's a bit optimistic to hope that they all go, but if we can get rid of at least 5 of that lot it will be a big step in the right direction.

7) Favourite current player?

Petrov. Get well soon Stan.

8) Favourite all time player/s?

I'm gonna go one better and give you an XI - Bosnich, Delaney, McGrath, Laursen, Staunton, Townsend, Taylor, Barry, Merson, McInally, Saunders

9) What do you expect us to do/finish this season assuming a decent transfer window with 25m or so spent?

Premier: 8th
FA Cup: Win
Carling: Win

10) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?

Will I renew this season?
I don't know. lol

11) Just to change the theme slightly, a snap shot of you outside of football, answer or ignore at your leisure:
(based on our WHO ARE YOU thread!!!)

a) Which celebrity/s would you most like to meet and why? Love to go for a drink with Kiefer Sutherland as I hear he's a good laugh after a beer or 10.

b) Age 32

c) Location: Cradley, but soon to be Malvern

d) Favourite alcoholic drink: Mojito or JD & Coke

e) Favourite non-alcoholic drink: Cherry Coke

f) Favourite Film/s: Pulp Fiction, Back to The Future, Rocky, Shawshank Redemption

g) Favourite TV Show/s: 24, Touch, Lost, Top Gear, The Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park

h) Music?: Kasabian, Noel Gallagher, Prodigy, Pendulum, Eminem

i) Best ever moment in your life: Hoping it hasn't happened yet.

j) Ambitions: Just to be happy

k) Wise words: I'm not wise so don't have any.

Good XI, we've had some crackers at VP over the years when you consider we can all roll off the tongue others to replace who you picked, Spink, Mellberg, Nilis, Evans etc.
