Vital Villa Interviews 2012: LuxuryVilla24
LuxuryVilla24 is next for the Vital Villa interview.

1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?

It would have been 2005 (And as an Australian with no exposure to football) when my dad bought me FIFA 2006 for Christmas. Villa quickly became my team of choice, and I've followed them since.

2) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?

Just who we need! A young, hungry manager who we have seen work miracles on a shoe string budget. Reminds me a lot of David Moyes, in the sense that we have a young British manager, making the step up after proving himself at a lower level. Hopefully we get the same amount of service from Lambert!

3) Best and worst moments of last season?

Best: Blackburn victory in the second week. That was really the only time i remember there being hope for us that season.
Worst: The heart breaking news of what happened to Stiliyan Petrov, even worse following the Muamba incident. It was truly a bad month for not only the club, but the whole football world.

4) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board, can a decent season next season make up for last season?

The only criticisms I have of the board, as I imagine many other villains share, is the last few manager choices. I feel after Martin O'Neill we needed to go with a safe appointment, and after Houllier, we needed to go with the same requirements we have gone with this time round. Luckily it doesn't look like the board have made a hat-trick of bad decisions.

5) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?

Bas Dost i was praying would come to Villa, but if I'm correct has already been snapped up by Wolfsburg. If we had an infinite war chest, the top priorities would be

- Jimmy Milner
- Victor Moses
- Matt Jarvis
- Grant Holt (5 Million at the most)
- Juusi Jaaskelainen (As a backup keeper)
- Owen Hargreaves (Free transfer/pay as you play contract perhaps?)

And then a centre back or two

6) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?

Unlike most, there's not a lot of players i would want gone for next year. James Collins should go if we can find a prospective buyer, as well as Delfouneso, who to me just gets lost in games. I also think that we should get rid of Albrighton. It seems we give him the excuse of 'being young' for going missing in games. I don't think he is up to scratch (Which is a shame because he looked a prospect in his first season in the first team). There are plenty of replacements out there for him.

7) Favourite current player?

As an Australian, I have always wanted Herd or Lowry to push through to the first team, unfortunate for the latter of course, but with Herd I think we have a class premier league midfielder. Never mind his off field actions, he's young and I'm sure in 5 years time, it would all have been forgotten. And now that Holman is coming over, we have a nice Aussie contingent over at Bodymoor Heath! Other than those, I would have to say one of the young brigade, perhaps Ciaran Clark, Andi Weimann or even Lichaj, who all showed a lot of promise last season.

8) Favourite all time player/s?

Gareth Barry, James Milner, Stan Petrov and Ashley Young. Simple :)

9) What do you expect us to do/finish this season assuming a decent transfer window with 25m or so spent?

Premier: 10th-8th
FA Cup: Quarter Finals
Carling: Well what the hay, winners, because why not!? Haha

10) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?

Q. Where do you see the club in 5 years?
A. Back in the upper ends of the premier league, with the media touting Paul Lambert's army of young Villains as the best crop of academy graduates since Man United's batch of Giggs, Scholes etc.

11) Just to change the theme slightly, a snap shot of you outside of football, answer or ignore at your leisure:
(based on our WHO ARE YOU thread!!!)

a) Which celebrity/s would you most like to meet and why? Stiliyan Petrov, so i could wish him personally, all the best with his health.

b) Age 18

c) Location: Melbourne, Victoria

d) Favourite alcoholic drink: A corona ice cold with a slice of lemon or lime

e) Favourite non-alcoholic drink: Icy cold glass of coke

f) Favourite Film/s: Inception, Forrest Gump

g) Favourite TV Show/s: How I Met Your Mother

h) Music?: Just about anything good!

i) Best ever moment in your life: My trip to America was an experience of a lifetime! Hopefully i can save up enough to come to England, and watch the mighty Villa play in the flesh!

j) Ambitions: Would love to get into media, perhaps work in print or radio media. Currently studying Journalism, so it is definitely the path I would like to follow.

k) Wise words: If you live outside of England, getting up for football games is one of the toughest things to do on a weekly basis. My wise words are to invest in a lot of coffee, and let your passion for the Villa get you through those long nights!

Luxury... This is the question of truth. Do you still play Villa in FIFA??? or are you a 5 star player?
