Vital Villa Interviews 2012: Kieran0121
Kieran0121 is next for the Vital Villa interview.

1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?

I became a villa fan at around about 4 years old my Dad used to take me to most games as he is a big fan himself and now as I have grew up my season ticket has been renewed for 4 years and then McLeish came and I could not renew it then i thought Learner wasn't listening to us we even protested and he should of done! seeing as were one of his main sources of income.

2) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?

I think Paul Lambert has much more going for him as a manager than Martinez does the work he has done with previous clubs shows he's made for the villa job is vital because I think villa were all over the place last season. I think he needs more than 1 year to show his full potential.

3) Best and worst moments of last season?

I think the only good! part of last season was beating Chelsea and seeing glimpses of Samir Carruthers who I think will be a good player given the chance.
The worst part for me last season was the F.A cup match against Arsenal when we were winning and looked so good and for some reason we just gave up and ended up losing 3-2 which sums up how down our players seemed last season.

4) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board, can a decent season next season make up for last season?

Randy Learner has got the appointment of Paul Lambert right for next season but when he appointed McLeish I lost the respect I had for him, for me ! It all depends on the team we have next season and if Randy actually does put his hand in his pocket for some good signings i will be happy with him. I agree with other this one thing i read - it did take that mistake last season for Learner to realize what the consequences can be of thinking to fast and not taking time to consider other candidates for the job like he did this season although I can't put all the blame on McLeish because out performance as a team just wasn't there last season. Overall i think things can only get better now

5) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?

We need quite a few this transfer window maybe a new striker Grant Holt is an ideal striker to link up with Darren Bent and doesn't cost an arm and a leg I would like to see Rhodes from Huddersfield in a villa shirt i am a big fan of him but i think Fulham will get there first. I'm not so sure about Holman i! Have not seen him play but at least he's a free transfer, i think we need another midfielder maybe Guthrie he played well when he filled in for Tiote and Cabaye and also will be a free transfer. I know its a longshot but Junior Hoillet would go so well with N'Zogbia. I think Dunne can improve so someone to work alongside him i like Anton Ferdinand but i doubt he leave QPR. We need someone to replace Hutton and Warnock.

6) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?

I think Hutton isn't good enough for the Premiership and Neither is Warnock so they really should move on. Gabby is strongly linked with Sunderland but he Feels strongly about villa im not sure hell leave but i think he should. Delph should be sold he would progress with more somewhere else and also i think we should do something with Albrighton i really think he needs to prove himself more or be sold.

7) Favourite current player?

Shay Given we would of lost many more games than we did if it wasn't for him one of the best goalkeepers villa have ever had.

8) Favourite all time player/s?

Savo Miloševic was fantastic I really liked him and obviously Paul McGrath best defender we have ever had and an Avfc Legend

9) What do you expect us to do/finish this season assuming a decent transfer window with Ł25m or so spent?

I Would expect with a revamped team that we would finish 6th to 8th but anywhere in the top half would be good enough for the first season Lambert takes over.

10) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?

Do You think we could be a top 4 team again... Answer: Yes but not for years to come.

11) Just to change the theme slightly, a snap shot of you outside of football, answer or ignore at your leisure:
